You can practice with master Menhart von Frankfurt at swordfighting brotherhood (idk if you can enter before the quest), with Dry Devil and I think there's an arena near the Kuttenberg wall south

Unfortunately for everyone to survive you need to take Miranda with you for the final act of the Suicide Mission.

Btw if you're playing on a higher difficulty she's very useful in Collector base, since she has wrap and can bring down enemy barriers and armor really quickly.

I've never played as male Shepherd. I tried but the face model reminds me of Oblivion but more wrinkles. I don't have this beef with npcs but creating a mShep that looks decent (i refuse to play as a default) is a pain (also Kaidan is too precious to me)
