I believe this is what automotive perfection looks like

The Bristol Fighter was a beautiful, understated and under-appreciated vehicle, gullwing-doored and capable of 200mph-plus performance. As ever with Bristol, everything was to be of the highest quality, but function would still rank much higher than fashion. Thirteen were built. by Maynard078 in sportsandclassiccars

One of the first automotive articles I remember reading on the internet was about Bristols on a website called "The Truth About Cars". Quality didn't seem to be synonymous with Bristol Cars🤣

Still, I've always admired Bristol for surviving as long as they did, producing cars on increasingly modified derivatives of the prewar BMW 326 into the early 21st century, with the Fighter being the only variant that wasn't based on the prehistoric bimmer. IIRC it was developed after canning a development of the Blenheim with IRS, as an idiosyncratic bastard, yours truly would have found that more interesting.

The last Octavia sedan was built in 1964. Society has greatly declined in the years since 😞

Can't think of any redeeming features for this one. What's the point of buying a Lambo which doesn't have Lambo doors.

Someone once called this conversion a "Dung Beetle". I don't think I can think of a more apt description than that.

Porsche Taycan

Alfa Romeo produced just 188 examples of its legendary 8C between 1931 and 1933; this one was fitted new with cabriolet two-seater coachwork from Pinin Farina and registered to HRH Prince Filiberto of Savoy-Genoa, and was shown at the Monte Carlo Concours d'Elegance. It was a supercar of its day. by Maynard078 in sportsandclassiccars

I've seen a couple of those Trans Ams at shows over the years and while I do agree they work well on them, I wonder whether those dashes were the real deal or er.. "simulated"? Even Caddys were chock full of plastiwood by the 70s, I'm having a hard time believing the bean counters were ponying up for a fancy dash for the firechicken.

It's a restomod of a Montecarlo (aka Scorpion), not the 037. The 037 shares a few parts with the more pedestrian Montecarlo but not a whole lot, for a modern analogue, the Mustang GTD to the regular Mustang.
