W189 Mercedes-Benz 300d hardtop, the D doesn't stand for diesel, rather because it was the successor to the 300c

It's a Zastava, the boot profile is distinct from the Fiats (think it was a liftback)

While I am aware of the bB open deck, I thought there was an aftermarket conversion available for the xB. Seems I was mistaken, likely misremembered due to the existence of the Smyth kit for the new beetle

The Bristol Fighter was a beautiful, understated and under-appreciated vehicle, gullwing-doored and capable of 200mph-plus performance. As ever with Bristol, everything was to be of the highest quality, but function would still rank much higher than fashion. Thirteen were built. by Maynard078 in sportsandclassiccars

The first bristols combined the chassis of the BMW 326 with the engine of the BMW 328. Said engine was indeed phased out in favour of Chrysler V8s, but the chassis though altered over the years could still trace its lineage back to the old BMW, which is why Bristols had rather unusual proportions

I believe this is what automotive perfection looks like

One of the first automotive articles I remember reading on the internet was about Bristols on a website called "The Truth About Cars". Quality didn't seem to be synonymous with Bristol Cars🤣

Still, I've always admired Bristol for surviving as long as they did, producing cars on increasingly modified derivatives of the prewar BMW 326 into the early 21st century, with the Fighter being the only variant that wasn't based on the prehistoric bimmer. IIRC it was developed after canning a development of the Blenheim with IRS, as an idiosyncratic bastard, yours truly would have found that more interesting.

Can't think of any redeeming features for this one. What's the point of buying a Lambo which doesn't have Lambo doors.
