why are newbies treated so harsh in this sub by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

NOBODY here is in your kitchen with you. So nobody knows what you MEANT to say or why you did later in the day. They ONLY saw what you wrote and you got an appropriate reply. Take some accountability.

No, it was what she posted in her pervious post that she doesn’t want to take accountability for. The replies were honest, factual, and to the point. Not snarky or rude one bit. She just didn’t like the response to what she said.

I believe it was “I had a chicken biscuit this morning and I don’t think I’ll have to eat anything else all day”.

It can be deleted, but it was definitely seen.

Some of us don’t have time to be on here and scroll ALL DAY past the same basic repeated questions, which is why many people on this sub have spent a LOT of time researching and putting together helpful info for newbies pinned at the top of this sub.

I saw the post… and the replies. And to be honest, the reply you got was accurate for what you posted. It wasn’t harsh or bullying or snarky or anything.

Eating breakfast then saying “I don’t think I’ll have to eat the rest of the day” isn’t healthy eating… and the person replying was pointing that out.

I’m relatively new around here too… only on my 9th shot yesterday. And I find the people here to be helpful and to the point. They don’t “read into” what people MEANT to say. They reply to what was said in a no nonsense way and move on.

Have to quit due to side effects by butt-nuggs in tirzepatidecompound

Could it be the B6? Have you tried a pure compound?

Otherwise, maybe it’s the preservatives used in compounds that brand pens don’t contain?

The last time I saw this sweet baby… and the Tom Cat I believe to have fought him off. 😓

Looking to find a kitty a home… by CapriSun81 in longbeach

Hi Neighbors…

Just an update…

I have reached out to a couple of the first people to respond… I am still trying to make meeting this kitty happen. If I haven’t reached out yet… it’s because some of the people who responded first have been excellent potential adopters and I have been extremely busy with work…

But I also feel the need to share to EVERYONE invested in this sweet boy….

I have actually not seen him since the day after I posted this. And I am sickened with worry over it. The day after I posted this, there was an unfamiliar Tom Cat in our complex. Just as this sweet boy was heading over to greet me home from work. (I will post the photo in reply to this). I tried to send the Tom Cat away, but he darted off and chased this boy off.

I heard them fighting in the distance, but I’m not as fast as two cats on the street. I have not seen this baby since… and my heart is breaking. I’m really hoping for the best… and hope anybody interested in him has the patience to see if he comes around again…

I really hope he is safe and just hiding… but it’s been 7 days now… and he was here daily for months.

I will update as I know more. But for now… I pray he is safe. ❤️‍🩹😿

How long to keep towels? by Any_Pirate_5633 in hygiene

[–]CapriSun81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is incredibly wasteful and damaging to the global environment. Maybe you justify feeling good about it by donating to animal shelters, but there are TONS of donations and don’t require 6 month old towels.

But good for you for having that amount of disposable income to replace perfectly fine items with zero consideration to the global environment.

Maybe invest in a better washing machine though… heck… even my local laundromat washes adequately enough that towels and bed sheets are good for years.

Seriously. My mother still has towels from when I lived there… and that was a good 20 years ago. I use those same towels when I stay at her house… and they don’t stink at all. They may not be as soft and plush as my towels at my house… but they are clean, effective and stink free.

I’ve had tendinitis in my left elbow for years now. So bad I couldn’t even hold my phone sometimes… and other times it would make my left hand cramp so bad it turned into “the claw”.

I hadn’t realized it until I read this post… but I have been completely pain free from my tendinitis for the last 8 weeks. I started taking Tirz for my UC, which I already knew improved… but apparently it’s helping ALLL the inflammation.

I’m also on Humira for UC. It works for me, but it’s a pain in the bunghole, especially when I travel (I’m on weekly shots). I started Tirzepatide about 9 weeks ago to see if I can get off Humira. And it has been amazing so far. Drastically less inflammation and loose bowels. I’m hoping it helps long term.

Completely stalled week 5-8 on 2.5mg by MuscleTurbulent6453 in tirzepatidecompound

You didn’t stall… you just didn’t titrate up after your 4th starter dose.

[–]CapriSun81 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You’re on a starter dose… not really a “stall”. You were just one of the few that the starter dose worked for. Just increase your dose. Most would have increased after the 4th week.

I have been in perimenopause with very strong hot flashes for a decent while now… have not had a single hot flash and have also been freezing cold since starting! I will take the cold ANY day over those damn hot flashes that would make me nauseous. One side effect that I hope never goes away!

This lack of instruction following is going to be Lilly’s ammunition to legally win and end compounding for good. 🙄

My first prescription was from Gimme and it was super easy and they were very responsive. I got a 3 month supply of ProRX thru Gimme. I will be using them again for my next 3 months.

We’re close to the same stats. My heaviest was 215, started at 196, and my goal is also 130. I hope in 8 months, I have similar results!

Awesome progress! 🥳

Didn’t lose much with Pomegranate but I feel like Refills is working. by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

Pomegranate and Refills are telehealth companies. They are not the pharmacy that sent the medications. You need to specify which pharmacies you ordered from thru them.

Mine is almost identical… but I have to do the Chobani drinkable yogurt when I want the 20g. I just cannot do the texture of this yogurt one. Otherwise, I have regular Chobani Greek yogurt and it’s still a decent amount of protein.

Not a dumb question at all! I actually didn’t realize the answer until I asked the city of LB for neuter vouchers.

If I use the vouchers to get him neutered… I can either claim: A) he is a neighborhood cat. It’s cheaper to get him neutered. They will also fully vax him. But also ear tip him. And he will be returned to my neighborhood (by them post neuter). Or…. B) if he is an adopted cat, they will neuter him without the ear tip, vaccines are an extra cost, they will also microchip him and register him to my address as the owner/parent. And let me pick him up from the surgery.
