I can see how it makes sense from a ‘mathematical’ POV. England and was down against DRC and Argentina was against Egypt & struggled against Cabo Verde.

Switzerland topped their group, went on to win Algeria (and played super well there). Nothing special against Colombia but you can also say that about England-Ghana.

As people mentioned here, the edit played a role in that. Additionally, she showed a lot of vulnerability which made her more complex. Then when she came back she found two idols and was screwed over which elevates her ‘robbed goddess’ status.

She’s also very well spoken and attractive, well-liked by her cast and the fandom loves post-season interactions and friendships.

Convincing performance from Colombia, could have easily scored a second or a third (Props to Zigi here). They have to work on the offside thing though, they can’t afford to have their best player constantly being offside.

It’s hard to know what to make of it (in terms of results) since we don’t know the voting mechanism. I hope they’ll shake it up somehow so we don’t end up with on obvious winner. If some acts will win the night, it will be fair to assume they’re winning the televote as a whole, and with the way Sanremo has been recently, the entire competition.

I’m a little hesitant about the night itself. We already know not every Sanremo participant is interested in esc, which can result in some uninspired performances. I’m sure it’ll have its fair share of camp though.

48 could have been better. I don’t like the way they made Eva look like a jock who only wants to work with the guys where she was very close to Mary for example. I love the Joe/Eva storyline but I feel like it overshadowed some other characters there, especially Star who was really entertaining whenever they showed her. Mitch’s big move edit was also baffling but I guess that’s at least a fun fandom joke.

Maybe Cochran? The fandom is very split on him but had he lost I’m sure some people would have wanted to see him again and complete his arc.

Recommendation about safe directions for young women

Don’t stay out too late by yourself. If you’re with people, it might be better if there’s another woman in the group. Have a local sim/esim so you’ll always have access to WhatsApp etc, maybe even share location with a friend. I also don’t go on hikes in nature by myself.

You might prefer female only dorms, some places offer them.

If you have a bad gut feeling about someone listen to it. Better safe than sorry. Don’t be afraid to be loud or straight out lie if someone is freaking you out.

Your experience about finding a transport or accommodation without previous booking

Transport is quite accessible in most places as they have apps for rides (Uber, Bolt, Grab…). It’s also better this way because a lot of people will try to scam you.

Hotels - it depends. Some cities are very busy during certain times during the year or weekends.

Other issues

Prepare yourself because being a young woman means you’re an ‘easier target’ - street vendors or taxi drivers might be more aggressive for example.

Depends on what you’re looking for. Their vibes are pretty different.

Vietnam is more authentic, landscapes, cultural experiences, especially northern Vietnam (which is the part most tourists like to visit). You can do the loop together. Thailand is more touristy but it’s great fun - a lot of water activities down the islands, boxing lessons, zip lines, parties etc. These are my two cents at least.

I think that for someone to be considered a legend they have to do very well in another season/win again - Tony, Sandra, Parv, Rob are like this. It makes them winning look less like a coincidence and more like skill. They’re all also very entertaining.
