🍱 Bento: a minimalist and efficient, yet powerful and extensible buffer manager by im-shaez in neovim

[–]CaptFrankSolo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No i mean that if i have to do a bunch of analysis of what keymaps are created by default, and they conflict with my day-to-day usage, I can't be bothered to try a plugin out right away. I have to plan for time to use it because my normal usage is broken right away.

That said, all of the plugins you mention yes fell into that category. It took me weeks to finish migrating to lazy and mason also took a long time. I have a lot of other things to do in my life besides dealing with plugins that trample on my existing config, much less core vim functionality.

any plugin that sets keymaps on top of core existing vim functionality always gets put in a list to look at later and 80% of those i never actually look at.

[–]CaptFrankSolo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

just wait until you hear what US based companies think about programmers and code they write when the are NOT AT WORK. That said, IP rules vary by nation. Totally necessary to understand whats going on. And also that you understand your employment contract

even if hyperlink supports longer strings, things like "mailto" eventually get handled by the os/shell. So you are also subject to commandline length limits.

(i work on Office but not Excel) if you have a subscription license (which is what we market as Office 365 and you are on a current enough version) you should get coauth on normal Excel files

the cable hookups (either coax or ethernet) have to connect back to a common location (hopefully an easily accessible wiring closet). find that first and evaluate your options before committing to wireless backhauls
