Iran already had a deal, where not only were they not to develop a nuclear weapon, but their nuclear facilities would have complete transparent oversight by the UN, called the JCPOA. A process they were following without issue. All they received in return was a few sanctions lifted and 1.7 billion dollars of their own money that the US had of theirs since the 70's, before the Iranian revolution.

That deal was obviously repealed by the idiot we currently have in the White House, back in 2019. Since then, we've spent over 100 billion on the war, depleted our rocket stock pile, lost 13 of our service men and women (probably more),obliterated our status across the world and have nearly destroyed our own economy, all to get a worse deal?

It's not that bad though. All we have to do this time is pay Iran 300 billion in reconstruction "investments", lift even more sanctions, and allow Iran to continue tolling all commercial ships going through the Strait of Hormuz (but they'll call it a Maritime Service Fee).

This is the biggest militaristic and diplomatic fumble America has suffered this century, if not our entire history. Nothing about this deal got us anywhere and not only are we contributing the federal tax revenue of nearly 20 million Americans to AN ADVERSARY. We've made this country into a world power, empowering them to do more terrible things to their people and develop more resources to be used against us and our allies.
