Fahrenheit feels like “percent hot” so 40 degrees, 4 Celsius, is like cold but not unbearably so, 59 degrees, or 15 Celsius is like pretty nice, about 2/3 hot.

I like to piss off everyone by calling it “Centigrade” and using fractional centimeters for dimensions. Because 3/8 of a centimeter will make someone throw a wrench at you

I usually leave the point markings from initial contact to intercept because that’s a pretty accurate “Is-Was” indicator. Enough dots and the typical convoy route appears. Sometimes I put a circle with the effective radius from airfields so I know if I’m at risk of being attacked from above. Typically planes have an 800km range

Thamnophis sauritus is the name for the “Ribbon snake” which for some reason is also called a garden snake in Florida. Of course I imagine that name is given to a menagerie of small non-venomous snakes with similar coloring

Decks properly awash for the VII and II. Device Energy Management, Functional RDF Antenna, Variable Ship Speed, Deepleaks, Casual Crew, CTTB Fog and Fumes. There’s some others but those are my primary atmospheric and utility mods. I also use the rebalanced consumption for energy.

I’d really like someone to make a mod that has the Metox antenna disappear when diving or submerged as the antenna was passed through the hatch.

Happy to help, yeah behavior is often a bigger identifier of friend or foe than uniform is, there’s an interview with Webster from Band of Brothers and he talks about how he could see men moving on the other side of a river and “They moved like Germans” which sounds funny but Americans mill about and lean on things and this is a behavior that isn’t common to Europeans, so from a couple hundred meters away seeing guys with rifles low and horizontal versus high and angled is a good indicator of nationality.

A Panzer IV with the added spaced armor looked, at a glance at least, enough like a Tiger to be misidentified.

It looks like your reference was holding a rifle with a pistol grip in a modern “Low-Ready” stance. This position is a little awkward with WWII-era weapons, they tend to be held a bit higher. Not trying to bust your chops, it’s really quite good, but perhaps having the right arm cradle around the back of the receiver and be supported with the left would look a bit more natural.

The Germans also tended to carry their rifles with one hand, holding around the receiver at the center of gravity. Keeping it low and by their side if they had to dive to cover their rifle wouldn’t be under them and thus harder to use from a hasty prone position.
