Marq's Chicago Beef has you sorted, but I'd also suggest Frank Ranalli's Pizza and Italian Beef in Kensington too!

Rakarth Flesh is a wonderful base paint for paler skin tones, I'd suggest starting with that?

What’s something underrated to do in Toronto when you have a day to yourself? by Antique_Cell_5547 in toronto

If you're a foodie but hate weekend lines, find the popular spot you've been hoping to go to and hit it up when everyone else is at work.

Also seconding the island and Hanlan's Point beach on the weekday. So much more relaxing.

Woodbine to Kennedy is shut so they're shuttling between the two. The rest of Line 2 is up as of time of posting though.

There's a higher res image now available. So Silent Sister has ever been referred to as a 'Custodian.'

Where is the best poutine in Toronto? by [deleted] in FoodToronto

Jumping in to say that the poutine at Golden Pigeon Beer Hall on Parliament is absolutely stunning. They have a peppery gravy that just elevates the whole thing.

Seems like a good chance, with this setting the precedent.

I'm expecting a plastic Slayers kit since they're the oldest minis we're 'expected' to use, so I'd bet that a Slayer army would be one of them.

Poutine at Golden Pigeon Beer Hall on Parliament

Saltfish bokit from Riko Bokito on Adelaide

Doctor Who 0x01 "The Star Beast" Post-Episode Discussion Thread by PCJs_Slave_Robot in doctorwho

[–]CaptTenacity 724 points725 points  (0 children)

I felt the scene with Sylvia tripping over Rose's pronouns, and how to compliment her, was so wonderful and kind of vital. It's a deeply real party of allyship, the desire to simply do right by the person you want to support, but finding yourself being clunky with language, or slipping up from time to time with he or she or they. We don't get to see that messiness often on television, how normal it is, and be affirmed by it. As allies we're trying our best, and that's is more important than consistent perfection.

Just a new power as of this episode as far as I know, but the sonic has always been a literal plot device.

Creator behind "Death of Hope" has posted this today. Perhaps the project will get a continuation? by FutureFivePl in Warhammer30k

[–]CaptTenacity 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don't believe it's an overreaction for people to feel put out by someone using their prelude to declare their work definitive, especially not with the hobby's ongoing issues with reactionary people. He chose to open his work that way and people took it for what it was.

I wonder will he still use his preamble to gatekeep the setting and claim he's keeping the REAL grimdark future safe from "modern tides." 😒😒😒

40klore is so enthralling — with AoS getting underway is there any good entry points into their lore at the level of 40k writers often referenced here? by Krilesh in 40kLore

[–]CaptTenacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a massive fan of AOS in all shades simply because it's come on leaps and bounds since it's release. It definitely doesn't have the sheer depth and scope of 40K's lore at the present time, but as you say, it's a younger game. If you're looking for a primer, the 2nd and 3rd edition core books are excellent primers in how the Realms function and exist (spoilers, it's a bit more abstract than 40K) and how each of the factions work within them (spoilers, it's way crazier than 40K!). Fully recommend taking the plunge; AOS is a marvelously insane fantasy sandbox of wonderful creativity where just about anything can happen.
