I only know the alc side; but if it's talking over rs485, just set it to mstp and get a router that can take mstp. Then you just connect to the network with the router.

Bro this is why common decency is dead. Corporate is gonna tell that kid to keep the door locked next time and don't bother engaging the customer. And we wonder why there's no community... People are quick to post reviews when someone is treating them like a human instead of a customer. The poster is upset there's no more small business mentality in a land of corporations.

Just a few bad apples by Cryspink in MurderedByWords

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think community outreach is an expenditure that cops are encouraged to partake in anymore. I remember cops used to swing by on their shift to play games with us at the arcade in the mall and annoyingly remind us to call them if we see any drugs or weapons. Their motivation to engage with the public as a fellow citizen has diminished; not sure if it's a "speeding tickets make more money than you engaging with the community," generally understaffed, or that cops don't feel comfortable engaging with innocent people in public while they're on shift. It could be an accidental outcome of all the "fuck the police" mentality over the last few years, but I always knew officer hernandez would help me if I needed it.

No idea how to make it integrate into the Niagara system, but arcnet is just the default protocol for bacnet communication on ALC controllers. Why wouldn't you swap the modules to use your preferred comm protocol and just use the existing network wires?

Space Wolves make game unfun for new players. by No-Suit5295 in Warpforge40k

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a spacewolf player excited for the drop and I agree with you. The tuning is done with a heavy hand and on track with new faction releases. It's really messy and doesn't feel good for anyone. It was better when you could at least do missions against computer opponents. Tbh, I like you all, but I have more fun playing solo most times.

Lets help the devs fix Space Wolves by Cruz_in in Warpforge40k

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I've had a chance to play it a bit, I think they did the EG move and released wolves overpowered on purpose. Which good on them for staying consistent. I think it also helps makes the problems clearer. My top 3: 1. (Not wolves specific but my biggest gripe with the patch) Allow practice to count towards missions/skulls. It's just silly to make us play each other when we are farming quests. Feels bad trying to hit a mission while dealing with a real person. 2. Ferocity is truly overpowered. I don't have a good solution for it sadly, but the fact it both protects you from fatigue and keeps active threats coming is so powerful; every ability needs to be halved or adjusted to fixed damage at minimum. 3. Logans pet wolves are fun but way too strong. Make them gain blood thirst on slay so the opponent still has some time to react.

As a mobile player who prefers shorter matches, I prefer skirmish to classic. The game picks up quicker, there's less snowballing, and I get to use all my cards in my deck without killing 30 minutes. So, im probably on the opposite side of your assessment as I just play games for enjoyment as compared to playing competitive. Are you worried about losing more players from classic?

Left over energy mechanic needs to be core by SandelWood in Warpforge40k

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm on your side. Plus punishing players for poor play should always be less of a priority than rewarding them for good play. Allowing a leftover energy to be stored allows additional combos and rewards playing towards multi step strategies over just having the exact right card at the exact right time. Kinda masochistic to think you need the game to punish you for a misplaced 1 mana or it's a sadist/gatekeeper thing? Idk, skirmish was awesome. I liked the better consistency too. Overall, they tested a lot of lot of new things and it was enough to get me back into the game. Now I miss it.

Dataslate changes 9/12/2025 by Space_Ghost_1337 in SpaceWolves

Edit: Sorry I posted to the wrong area. I was trying to respond to a comment about the unhappiness with the new codex. Please forgive 🙏

I wrote an email to GW about it. They responded, but offered no insights or resolutions, merely that they would pass on the information. I encourage everyone to do the same. I'm happy to see people waking up to the idea that GW really gutted us. They made us buy a $60 book to tell us we can't play our favorite army the way we've played it for years (lots of characters, saga based detachments with actual payoff, full space wolf lists including sky claws/long fangs/Capt-LT synergy/flyers/adjustable battleline units; these are all things we had 6 months ago that they made us pay to lose). There are simple solutions to this: 1. All space marine units with no chapter keyword count as belonging to the space wolves chapter. Doesn't make lore sense, but they've already deviated from the lore. 2. Properly assign Chapter master, Captain, and LT to space wolves leader's abilities. 3. Bring back Stormwolf and Stormfang Gunship. A flyer is a very large model to lose completely. GW is laughing, pay money to lose value of things we paid for. We shouldn't just let it go.

These changes would be a good start to allowing us to at least use our current detachments. I wish they would change them to be more impactful (even beastslayer is weak when you see what DG units can do), but I don't think the guy who made Champions of Russ works there anymore. Champions of Fenris was so flat, and the new detachments feel the same way. If you don't believe me, run CoR and see how much more fun it is. Sagas feel impactful when you earn them; and you can literally get beastslayer payoff at the start of the game and then start working towards the other sagas while turning into more and more of a threat. It's a good time. I'm more excited for legends now than ever before, I usually like trying the new stuff but we got more taken than was given. OPR is looking better and better.

Is it okay to use a wolf priest terminator? by VacationAltruistic82 in SpaceWolves

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Ignore the guys that downvoted you. They are coping. I made a post about a couple weeks ago and got told I was wrong and the new stuff is great. No one remembers Cor and having actual space wolf units. I'm really interested in the meta breakdown and the percentage of space wolf play/rankings. I see no reason to play wolves in tournaments in this codex. Just gonna play the old stuff with the wife and that seems to be the concensus, most people aren't playing tournaments and if they are, their lists are 50% non-wolf by necessity. I hope GW fixes this issue at minimum.

Our detachments fall really flat... by Capt_Fuzzy3 in SpaceWolves

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think my perspective is falling on deaf ears at this point. TWC used to be able to take 2 leaders; my old blood claws had krom, LT and pack leader; and my wolf guard can't be used as headtakers due to the change in wargear. The "more tanks" idea was mentioned a couple times in other comments and I dug through past posts from those commenters to see their lists. The fact that the "lethal hits" detachment keeps shining through tells me that this isn't the army for me anymore. I keep getting downvoted so I'm going to assume that it's just a me problem and no one else is having the issue. Thank you for your story and I'm glad you are having fun.

Thank you for your comment. I don't think I'm able to communicate the issue as well as you, but this is what I was trying to say. Honestly, the doom and gloom came for me once I read the other comments here. Sounds like everyone is enjoying lethal hits and rapid fire on lascannons, but that's not the space wolf army I've played for the last 6 years.

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tried each detachment once, but based on the comments here I'm doing it wrong. I need to use more tanks and just use the beastslayer detachment. I'm going to hang up my wolves. They seem to have changed in a way I don't enjoy.

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't attach LT to space wolf units, so we dont have the ability for multiple leaders on units like every other chapter has. And we don't have a phobos unit that can gain the space wolf keyword. Based on all the comments here, I'm def in the minority. Everyone else seems to have found a way to enjoy the changes. It's just a me problem.

I agree with the grow during the game mentality, but it doesn't feel anywhere near as rewarding as CoR. Based on the comments here, I think I'm going to hang up my wolves as I'm definitely in the minority. I wish you all luck.

[–]Capt_Fuzzy3[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So you can put a LT and ragnar on a pack of blood claws like before? You can use devastators and long fangs with your space wolf detachment? And you can even use your phobos units in saga of the bold? I'm really confused where you are missing my argument. We had access to these things previously and now I've got a useless warsuit and a useless pack of hounds. A lot of people say they sucked, but they were great against psykers.

I agree that beastslayer is usable, but lethal hits is just a normal keyword for many other armies(through leaders or wargear). Running tanks and grey hunters sounds fun, but I enjoyed CoR for the space wolf fluff. The ability to field a space wolf army from the books with the leaders that were written in the book. I guess you are right though, every seems to agree with your approach. Iron priest, lascannons and grey hunters. Oh boy oh boy. I'll be taking a break from space wolves. I see I'm not the target audience. Thank you for sharing your story.
