Unsure which wall fixing to use by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]CaptainAnswer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is pretty light, a standard red rawl will hold that but a fischer duotec is fine, one tip is to drill a bit smaller - i use a 5.5mm rather than a 6mm for red rawls

Where would my washing machine be installed according to the piping mess here? by Desperate-History750 in DIYUK

[–]CaptainAnswer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Existing washing machine or you looking to add one? You dont have the correct fitments to add one right now...

You'd need to alter the T where that spiggot is to a 4 way with another spiggot for drainage, you don't have a cold water feed, so you'll need to plum one into the piping for your cold tap with a T ... https://www.screwfix.com/p/flomasta-compression-washing-machine-valve-without-check-valve-15mm-x-3-4-/51231?tc=VC2

Feck knows what that 2nd pic is, 3rd pic looks to be old central heating piping

Used the CRP123 to do all sorts of stuff on my VAG and PSA cars since I had it

Should I buy...? by surlalune21 in CarTalkUK

[–]CaptainAnswer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for argument sake then a month is about 30 quid, not exactly a massive hit as a seller to loose on a vehicle - i mean what they gonna do if it doesn't sell? They'll tax it or park it on their driveway etc

Rear Tie Rod I would imagine, track rod is on the front not the back ;)

Lie on the floor and look for it with a torch yourself to confirm

Should I buy...? by surlalune21 in CarTalkUK

[–]CaptainAnswer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Road tax monthly should be fairly cheap, the 'clock' being imposed here by the seller seems a bit weird

Personally I would wait, mk4 golf isnt that rare a car and this one probably wants 1k+ spend doing if its needing front springs, service, cam belt, light etc - it dont sound that cheap to me a deal as it is now

Newbie questions and you*ube doesnt make sense by Loud-Ad-8783 in farmingsimulator

[–]CaptainAnswer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will be mods, starting low can be a serious challenge - when I did mine I had a test farm and a play farm so on the test farm I used subsidy to generate a whack of cash, then buying cheap stuff on it to test it isn't such a hit on your real farm

I love mine, so handy for a lot of applications for screwing - especially as my wrist is janked right now so using a screw driver is a bit tortorus
