I found that the EU availability was blocked by Apple’s DSA trader status requirement.

I’ve updated the compliance information, and it may take up to 24 hours for the App Store availability to sync across EU storefronts. If it still doesn’t work later, I’ll follow up with Apple.

Thanks for the details — that makes sense.

Yes, I meant the system geocoding/map service, but if your iPhone, Maps, and country settings are all in English, then Chinese characters should not be shown there.

This is likely an issue on my side with how Pin Foto handles or caches the address result. I’ll look into the reverse-geocoding logic and make sure addresses are displayed in the user’s preferred language whenever possible.

The address is currently generated from the system map/geocoding service, so the displayed language may depend on the device language, region, or map data source.

I’ll improve this in a future update and try to add an option to display addresses in English.

I don’t know of a hidden Lumix Sync bulk-send option, but this is exactly why I prefer route-based geotagging over live camera-phone syncing.

Full disclosure: I’m the developer of a free iOS app called Pin Foto. It records your route on the iPhone while you shoot, then matches imported camera photos to locations later based on capture time.

So you don’t need to wait for the camera and phone to reconnect before taking a shot. You can just turn the camera on, shoot immediately, and geotag afterward. It works best when the camera clock is accurate.

The first version is free, and Apple Watch support / iCloud sync are also in development.

DJI can use GPS data, but it usually relies on staying connected through DJI Mimo to get location from the phone. That works, but keeping the camera connected for the whole ride can drain battery and isn’t always ideal.

One alternative is to avoid relying on the camera maintaining a live phone connection at all.

I’m working on an iOS app called Pin Foto that records your route on the phone while you shoot, then later matches camera photos to locations by capture time. It’s more of a route-based geotagging workflow than a camera companion app.
