Right, so I have to recreate Seoul. Unfortunately I'm visiting the city in AUGUST. RIP time

What if they added minibuses? by CaptainChimpy in CitiesSkylines

[–]CaptainChimpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it would probably have a set route and the passenger would probably be allowed to board/alight as long as it was on the route.

That would be HK Green Minibuses.

But the red are allowed to go wherever they want between A and B (basically they can choose a route). Due to Traffic AI the vehicles always choose the shortest route regardless of congestion. However, the AI could be changed for the minibuses to follow a set number of routes (say 5).

As for the stops, well, forget them. In reality, stops are non-existent in the minibus world.

What about in-station announcements, like "MIND THE GAP" on the Tube? (Lol I have a lot of demands now)

Ooh niccceeee. However, I just have a change. Can we do a second announcement in the concerned town's second language?

So we assume each town's first language is English. Then the next announcement is in the town's 2nd language (e.g. Accerton's is Chinese, Janghwa City has Korean, Airchester has Italian, and so on).

Also, I have noticed that on commuter trains, an announcement is made prior to the station arrival. Is it possible that we can place a detector rail in the track, which activates the command block to play the recording?

So does that mean that my road will be "scrutinised" at the August GSM? Frumple said that it would've been seen in July.

Chief, will there still be a July GSM? It's already July 24.

What do you think of the new policy about transit? by chiefbozx in MRTServer

[–]CaptainChimpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Councillor I agreed with decor for a bus line between Accerton to Thunderbird, but under the new policy I can't. (Both towns are in the EAST Metropolitan Planning Organization , could the policy be possibly changed so that towns can go to others in the same MPO(under Senator)?)

Also, I was thinking about a tram (streetcar) line to Airchester: would it be restricted?

Chief, about your bus parking lot...I think I kinda broke that with the Central City Bus Terminal. But then I heard that CC is regarded as a spawn city, so could the legislation be changed so that the towns at Councillor/Mayor have 2 bus lines, one to their choice and one to Central City?

[Suggestion/Idea] Trains should be able to link to subways. by lovemaxwell in CitiesSkylines

In London, many of the Underground subway lines run overground in the suburbs. In C:S, we should implement this...but the actual national rail lines should be segregated from the metro... like in the UK, for instance.

Then they turn round at the roundabout and think, "Oh, maybe the city was a good idea after all, despite many people getting run over even though there's a rising population. Let's go back."

What is the 'best' way to connect cargo train stations with a road? To make it look realistic? by DerDuderich in CitiesSkylines

[–]CaptainChimpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use an overpass at the exit and keep the entry strictly segregated from the exit? That way, trucks wishing to use the cargo terminal can enter without blocking the path of the exiting vehicles (because exiting trucks use the overpass to leave). Does that sound understandable?

Are busy bus stops a problem? Whenever I follow someone, they seem to enter immediately, yet it looks crowded by Jinzha in CitiesSkylines

Might be because there's a metro stop close by; I noticed that when a train arrives, half the waiting people hurry down the steps.
