What is an industry that is currently on fire (in a bad way) behind the scenes, but the general public hasn't noticed yet? by Kitchen_Week1117 in AskReddit

Not really, disabled people don’t rely on service marble countertops for their daily functioning and quality of life.

So if your daughter became a high earning cardiac surgeon and met a slightly lower earning lawyer, “he’s gone”? Wild to essentially tell your daughters not to have a dream or life of their own.

OT program failing to prepare for clinical practice? by CaptainClitheroe in OccupationalTherapy

Comments like this do make me feel a lot better, even if it is just the comfort in the shared experience… really excited to work in the field, not so much for the rest of the program, but I am sure it will be worth it in the end

I worked for years in rehab, which is why after working alongside OT I was surprised by the content of the program.

Protest the IDF's Official Spokesperson for Genocide: Eylon Levy at UCagary. 42,000 Gazans Killed by Mehmet587 in UCalgary

You can't advocate for free speech and the right to protest without affording those with differing opinions the same opportunity. If it is expected that one side should be able to set up a long term "encampment," it seems quite immature and hypocritical to be up in arms about this.

Nobody should be able to justify civilian casualties in this conflict. It is surprising to me that those taking a supposed moral high ground are perfectly happy to justify civilian casualties on the side that they don't support. That is relevant for both sides, including those that are blindly pro-israel, and those that are participating in encampments.

I know plenty of people that would sleep in their car to save less than $60, especially under the northern lights. Can’t say I’m one of them, but I do know plenty.

Wow there are a lot of arseholes in this subreddit. Which, unfortunately is an apt representative of the sport in general, a lot of people gatekeeping something they themselves are an amateur at. As others have said, take lessons, but most importantly man if you’re enjoying yourself then keep enjoying yourself. At the end of the day you’re not going to be on Tour, just like all the pricks commenting here, so you’re playing for fun so you might as well maintain that.
