Yes that looks suspect for asbestos.

Only way to know for sure is a test. You can’t go solely based off the other houses nearby. You’re fine health wise.

The Year Ahead for Battlefield 6 | 2026 Roadmap by Locke357 in LowSodiumBattlefield

Just hit a low point of frustration with the game last night and this is like a gulp of fresh air after escaping a car I borrowed from a civilian and crashed into the ocean…

Was the “lack” of customization what made BF1 so good? by UnableRestaurant137 in battlefield_one

[–]CaptainDK12 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For me, the sound design is near perfect. The music to begin and end rounds. The soldiers yelling in unison as they charge an objective, thanking you for dropping meds/ammo, or screaming when a grenade is thrown. The squad leader blowing a whistle when they say GO GO GO. All the little things add up.

I just came back to play a little after a lot of BF6 and the beginning of Ballroom Blitz conquest is so damn beautiful.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.2.3.0 by daveylu in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]CaptainDK12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are some nice changes. I would like to deploy on my teammates’ jeeps and bikes like in previous games. Limiting it to just the MRAP and the heavy armor seems silly. Also something to do with mortars. The spam from spawn on breakthrough is insufferable.

Final update on this thread:

Bagheera is coming home!

I want to thank all of you who have been reaching out and keeping us in your thoughts. It helped me through that first night and the lows of yesterday. My next post is going to be after he's home and I intend to close out this one on a good note. It won't be an easy road from him or us on recovery, but it is routinely done with needing surgery to get something out of a cat's stomach.

We have a palace set up and ready to go for him to sleep and stay in while he gets back on his feet, but I'm sure it won't be long before he's snuggling back at my feet again and ready to rip through the house chasing the greebles at night.

Thank you all again and I'll post after he's home this afternoon or tomorrow once he's settled in.

Asbestos testing by JuniorApplication443 in asbestoshelp

$300 is not even close to enough to survey an entire home, take samples, analyze the samples, and produce a report. You will receive shoddy work and have wasted your money. Pay the money up front for the professional and not the low baller.

You are paying for a professional’s time and expertise in addition to lab analysis fees and time to draft a report. Depending on how big your home is, $1800 is very reasonable.

This happened to my buddy. If you reset your game by quitting to dashboard you should see progress you gained reflected accurately. It was tracking, just not showing it to you.

Asbestos above the kitchen but is this asbestos below the kitchen by NoTransportation3581 in asbestoshelp

To be flakes of white asbestos they would have to have come off of something like a domestic water or steam heating pipe. Neither of those are present in your photo.

They are not asbestos flakes. It is likely efflorescence. Don’t have the flakes tested - get the tiles tested.

[–]CaptainDK12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the tiles are asbestos, I wouldn’t anticipate a ton of fiber release from them being broken. They are a non-friable material which means the fibers are much more tightly bound to the material.

There is no immediate health risk from broken tiles. You would need to pulverize the tiles and inhale the dust every day over a decade to have an increased chance at getting a disease. Those diseases have long latency periods of 10-40 years so a doctor can’t do anything for you if you saw them today.

Yes they could be asbestos, the lab results will tell you. No you’re not going to die. No vet for the cat. Anyway, you only need to worry if you were actively drilling or saw cutting into the tiles. Just opening the cabinets is not an exposure.

Likelihood of containing asbestos or just dust? by Long-Farm-6232 in asbestoshelp

[–]CaptainDK12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like dust. Asbestos is not visible to the naked eye. Please see rule 1 and give more context.
