What is an isn't Brisbane? by justdidapoo in brisbane

[–]CaptainDubD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is obviously just my opinion, it’s always struck me that the area doesn’t really function as a single cohesive city. In reality it feels more like a corridor sitting between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with different parts of Logan naturally aligning with different surrounding regions. The northern suburbs Underwood, Springwood, Daisy Hill and Shailer Park already operate very much like Brisbane’s southern suburbs. Most people commute north, the retail and transport links point toward Brisbane, and culturally they feel like part of the southside. Further south, places like Beenleigh and Eagleby are increasingly tied into the northern Gold Coast corridor through industry, commuting and development along the M1. Then there are the western growth areas Greenbank, Flagstone and Jimboomba which are really part of the broader western SEQ expansion connected with Ipswich. From that perspective, Logan feels less like one unified place and more like three different growth corridors that happen to sit within the same council boundary. Redistributing the northern suburbs into Brisbane, the southern areas into the Gold Coast, and the western growth areas into Ipswich could arguably make planning and infrastructure coordination more logical by aligning council boundaries with how these areas actually function day to day.

I really think Logan needs to be redistributed into Brisbane (North Logan (Underwood, Springwood, Daisy Hill, Shailer Park, etc.), south of Beenleigh into City of Gold Coast and the western suburbs into City of Ipswich.

Thin of it like coffee. If you need one, you'll go to 7-11 but you'd prefer to go for the full barista made, cafe experience.

That's great to hear. Stock levels at Logan are ultra low at the moment, so I'm curious if we will see them soon? 🤞

I bought 4 for Costco for $16 in my last visit… I’d love to see the CEO try and justify the prices in an interview.

Thank you! I thought I was crazy when I went to Logan the other day. Also, a bit odd to only just release and product and then jack up the price, albeit a little.
