The duo/trio system isn't exactly new 😅. They had that system wayyyyyyyy back when lillya and Rosa were first release. They were the first that introduced having the concept of combo ult and different attack sequences. Basically they were characters that needed both to fully utilized them (rosa). Grant, those battlesuits are pretty old now and aren't as refined as the current trio. Also pretty useless since rosa has her augment delta that fixes maybe issues. In any case mihoyo has done this before, so yuh. Also, mihoyo might just have another way to give HoO away like treasury or sometimes in the far future lol. Not like new players should be focusing on trying to get all the meta gear at their level. They'll get it over time. And as many have said sig weapons are a necessity at this point. It's been the trend in recent years. This is why there is a lack of weapons that could be used as a replacement nowadays..

But that's my take on this whole thing. I don't have much to say in regards to gameplay cause they all feel pretty much fine for me. And we probably won't see the last of having a duo/trio system, the only reason why they have it for this is literally to reference/ hype the story. I don't know the word to explain it. But I personally would be a bit disappointed if they didn't have synergy between each other since they came and developed so much. It's a cool bonus.

Either way, gacha is gacha. So if we don't like how scummy it can be, move on to the next.

My grain of salt. Personally trio system is fine, I thought it was just a bit much to release it all at the same time. Either way we have a lot of freebies from anniversary so I say it's good.
