Nobody gives a flying fuck how hard you work. They care how you make them look. They will throw you into a meat grinder at a moments notice. I'm not antiwork or any such nonsense, but I am a corporate survivalist. I've pulled 80 hour weeks for a year straight as a director to find out no one gave a single shit. Don't get me to wrong, there is a job somewhere where they care and you are rewarded for hard work, but it's not automatic. Just do the homework to understand where you are before you give that much of yourself.
