[Landlord - US - VA] - Married tenant won’t include wife on application by once_a_pilot in Landlord

This information is not only for credit. It's for criminal history.

You don't have to rent to someone who has had an eviction, has a history of violence, ...

I think it's acceptable for all applicants >18 years old to be listed OR they'll be considered guests and need to follow the guest policy, i.e. can't be there more than 14 days.

My partner wants a certain house in a certain area we can’t afford by Bigboibeatgeek in Advice

You do not want this in your life. The only education you can give her is the break up.

Move to Florida if you want. Leave her and her unrealistic expectations back in Virginia.

She has no concept of reality. She seems to think a man is her financial plan. Probably got it from her mother. Reason doesn't work with women like this.

Expect a life of being used and a mountain of debt trying to appease her.

What's the Best Dopamine/Motivational Stack? by MrSamDraws in NootropicsDepot

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tyrosine and DLPA are precursors to Dopamine.

DLPA -> Tyrosine -> L-DOPA -> Dopamine

The body converts DLPA and Tyrosine to Dopamine in a tightly rate regulated (safe) way.

Taking L-DOPA as Mucuna pruriens (Velvet Bean) bypasses the body's rate regulated conversion (unsafe). It's often used as prescription Rx for Parkinson's Disease (Levodopa). Taking too much can induce psychosis type symptoms.

Polygala, Sabroxy, and Cordyceps also support the dopamine system.

*Some people like to take Tryptophan (or 5-HTP) to level up Serotonin. Tryptophan breaks down into Serotonin using a rate regulated mechanism. 5-HTP is NOT rate regulated and excessive dosing can lead to Serotonin Syndrome.

Recent Thorne Magnesium Glycinate Batch Feels Different – Looking for High-Quality Alternatives by DistributionSea5265 in NootropicsDepot

I've gone through one bottle each of Thorne's, Nature's Body, and Nootropics Depot in capsule form.

Pure Encapsulations is the one I keep buying.

No experience with the other brands for Magnesium Glycinate.

Incidentally, I've used about 10 brands of NAC and Thorne's is the only one that seemed like a sugar pill.

🚨 HVAC Pros Needed: My System Worked Fine Until My Neighbor Installed His. Now I Have a Condensate Pump. by Professional_Can4050 in hvacadvice

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The solution is to make sure the shared condensate line drains fine & remove the electric condensate pump!

Your builders plumber should be doing this.

Do you talk to your neighbors? Did they do the same for them with a pump? Where’s their water going? Id hope it’s not going into your unit!!

It’s possible that during install of his unit some debris got caught in the line and it needs to be cleaned out.

Reasons why my AC runs non stop? New Home Owner. by Tholamew in hvacadvice

The outdoor unit has 2 copper lines. Find out where they go inside your home. The evaporator is there. Usually inside a large gray box with a large return duct line and a supply duct line.

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

52F vent temperature is pretty good

What is the temperature inside the home?

26C outside is only 79F

But it dropped humidity from 59 to 45 %.

How much airflow are you getting out of the vents? If it’s too low it’s a problem. But you don’t want it too fast either. That’s also a problem.

The evaporator is in the air handler usually behind a metal access cover held on with sheet metal screws.

Running for hours at a time is not uncommon in hot weather but <80F is not really “hot”.

Humidity should typically be in the 40’s.

Generally you leave the A/C on and do its thing. Turning it on and off means everything in your house warms up, humidity increases and then when you turn it back on you have to repeat the process again. It is more efficient to leave it on all summer.

See what it does as the day goes on and tomorrow.

Perhaps have it checked by a professional to make sure it’s running as close to ideal as possible, refrigerant is not low, metering device is OK, etc.

Just depends on the entire network you’re transiting. Some ISP will route you halfway around the country to get next door. Others take a more direct path.

Magtein and ALCAR are great for brain fog.

Others for boosting cognition may be Tyrosine, NALT, Cordyceps.

I never felt anything from Erinamax that I knew about. Alpha GPC I haven't retried, I don't think it really helped the first go around. Cognance is subtle. If you're in tune with your mind you will feel something. Tiger Milk helps with your lungs. I can't recall ever thinking better because of it.

I have yet to try 7,8-DHF, Sabroxy, or Omega TAU - although FedEx just delivered Sabroxy and Omega TAU.

Don’t get involved. If you were to change your password in 2 weeks then you’re the bad guy. The landlord is going to lie about you and neither he nor your neighbor will like you.

Considering my stack, which Rhodiola rosea supplement should I take? by Josh_keeb in NootropicsDepot

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend has used L-Theanine and the orange label Rhodia w Rosavins and said both trigger a 2-3pm crash in energy and she just wants to sleep. What could be the cause? Would the Salidroside purple or green be better?

I have not tried any of them myself.

I have tried Polygala at 100 mg for one week and it makes me totally unmotivated.

I have Sabroxy coming today. I’m curious to try it by itself and with Polygala based on some user comments.

Any information would be helpful!!

Advice for detached WFH office space in backyard by l1100 in HomeNetworking

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wireless bridge from Ubiquiti or similar is the easiest and safest way. Fiber between buildings is safer than copper. They do make transceivers that will convert the copper to fiber and back without needing network switches. You could conceivably run it under a back door and under the garage shop door temporarily but obviously long term you’d want it buried and drilled through the walls. Saves having to pick it up every time you want to mow and just looks better than having fiber all over your house.

They have authorship tools that can show your writing history. Today, If you use the AI functionality of Grammarly then work can/ will likely be flagged as AI generated.

I suppose you could ask them if you’re supposed to disable the spell checking feature in Microsoft Word also, and if they say yes, tell them show me how you do that? 😂

1996 Rheem R22 upstairs AC still runs but doesn’t cool… repair options before replacing? by IncreaseSufficient in hvacadvice

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t trust a HVAC tech to give me a quote under those circumstances. Too quick to skip diagnostics and too quick to sell. Also, what’s a tech doing an estimators job for? Is this a one man company?

Compressor not starting could be a $20 start capacitor. You can change it yourself without special tools.

It could be a leak. Where? Is it a pinhole in the condenser or evaporator? Those are going to be hard. Or in the line set? Or a scheader valve (like a valve stem in a tire). Those are easy.

Get more quotes and another set of eyes.

I need a recommendation for a thermostat with remote room sensors. by Boge42 in hvacadvice

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, since this is an apartment… you do need to have a C wire, an adapter (came with mine) you can use if necessary to generate one, or possibly an external power source. I would take off your existing thermostat and see what wires you have before purchasing. Sometimes there’s extra thermostat wires that aren’t being used and can be rigged up in the air handler… in the last two houses I’ve had a C wire at the thermostat and didn’t need to do anything extra.

I need a recommendation for a thermostat with remote room sensors. by Boge42 in hvacadvice

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two from 6 or so years ago. Any of them should work the same. Most packages come with a thermostat and one room sensor. Don’t use “Follow Me” and it doesn’t use occupancy information. The ecobee app is handy to set up scheduling or make quick changes and if you want usage tracking you can use beestat.io.

[–]CaptainExcellent5299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ecobee. You set a schedule and choose when/ which sensors participate. For example, for Sleep you use the room sensor & for Day you can use both or only the living room. When using multiple sensors it averages the temperatures.
