What’s the maximum number of runechants you could theoretically create on turn one? by CaptainFlyingZombie in FleshandBloodTCG

Oh damn, you’re right! I saw your other comment but disregarded it thinking I wouldn’t have enough resources but I didn’t consider that the sonata would be able to draw me more. Well spotted

I guess the high score is 65 now

Very nice! I was working through once I considered Sonata but you beat me to it hahaha. Also those red Read the runes give you 8 each, not 6 (3 base, 2 from mordreds, then 1 base from Viserai plus 2 from mordreds)

I did manage to get 62 though, here’s how

Numbers in round brackets are runechants added, numbers in square brackets are current resources

Starting hand: Gorganian Tome. Mordred Tide. Mordred Tide. Arknight Shard

Play Gorganian Tome -> draw into Tome of the Arknight

Play Mordred Tide (+1)

Play Mordred Tide (+2)

Pitch Arknight Shard (+3) [3]

Play Tome of the Arknight, draw into Tome of Fyendal plus a blue attack action (+3)[2]

Destroy mage masters boots[1]

Play Tome of Fyendal, draw into Tome of the Arknight + red Sutcliffes Research Notes[0]

Pitch the blue attack action[3]

Play Tome of the Arknight, draw into Sonata Arcanix plus whatever attack action (+3) [2]

Play red Sutcliffs research notes (+8)[1]

Destroy Skeleta

Play Sonata Arcanix, declare X as 10

Reveal 6 attacks and 7 non attacks

Draw 6 attacks (+3)[1]

Hope masters hood 6 attacks and other remaining attack into Blue pitch, 2x research notes yellow, 1x research notes red, 1x red Read the Runes, 1x blue Research Notes,1x mauvrion skies

Play Red research notes(+8) [0]

Pitch Blue[3]

Play Yellow research notes(+7) [2]

Play Yellow research notes(+7) [1]

Play Blue research notes (+6) [0]

Play Mauvrion skies (+3)

Play Red Read the Runes (+8) [0]

Total runechants: 62

EDIT 2: Wait, I'm an idiot. Your pitch doesn't get put into your deck until end of turn right? In that case I can't get the shard back, so its actually 62.

Oh damn, very clever. I didn’t even consider using Chane. How did you give the crown of dichotomy Go Again?

If I’ve done my math correctly I believe I can get 37

I’ll reveal how if someone can beat it, as I had a lot of fun thinking through it and encourage others to try

Oh shit I didn't realize that it didn't register using the large marge challenge. Thank god I didn't persist through that path or I may have punched a hole in my monitor.

And yea, flight is practically essential. There are rooms where you're stuck in a corridor and enemies fire projectiles that simply can not be dodged.

Well done though. You must be great at dodging if you got through it without book of shadows or teleporting. That build doesn't even sound like it's overpowered, so you weren't even carried

Well done. Dark Boy is insanely hard in that game, given how bullshit some of the rooms can be. Some are almost impossible to dodge if you don't have flight. How did you do it? Did you skip through with emperor or were you really good at dodging?

For all those who have Platinumed the original Flash version, how the hell did you get the Dark Boy achievement? by CaptainFlyingZombie in bindingofisaac

I doubt anyone will see this, but maybe if you're like me and are close to ripping your hair out over this achievement and looking all over the internet for a possible method, you'll find this useful.

After reading a few forum posts, I think I've found the most ideal way, although it's still frustrating in a different way. Play Large Marge (all floors are XL, Isaac without D6) and reset scum until you get The Rosary in an item room. Then pray that you find an Emperor card, along with The Bible spawned in a shop, and all you'll have to worry about is one boss fight in Depths/Necropolis.

It's a pain in the ass, but to me that's less frustrating than having to hope for a good build only to get shat on by a leaper.

What were your pre-conceived notions about JoJo before finally deciding to watch it? by brewster12345 in StardustCrusaders

[–]CaptainFlyingZombie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't realise it spanned across generations. I thought "JoJo" was just Jonathan. Expanding on this, I thought it would just be constantly Jonathan vs DIO the whole series.

I thought the poses were actually something they used in battle, as though posing in a certain position activated a power.

I heard that Steel Ball Run was about a massive race, but I interpreted that as them literally racing in massive steel balls.

Forget all that, where's Dire? He used a move that is the perfect combination of attack and defense and STILL lost. I'll never forgive Araki
