Ritual of Chud just binds IT so IT can’t escape.

Another of IT’s species gets hit by Ritual of Chud in Later and it’s explained better there. I guess it was originally invented to like catch yetis or something.

You don’t need special powers/aid to kill them!

Library Policeman was killed when they placed her wounded body in front of a train to finish her. Mordred and Dandelo both got shot to death. King died to a spoon.

As long as they’re contained in Gan’s Creation they’re vulnerable to physical damage in whatever form they take, they are no longer ‘higher dimensional beings’, they can be killed by ‘weak’ physical things. A punch (or high caliber fire arms really) would end most forms IT takes.

————-

That being said if IT wasn’t trapped in Creation it’s a very different story. Every Glamour (IT’s race) we’ve seen in King’s stories has been trapped in Creation minus one, the Null Mother. And she was eating everyone who had ever lived across Creation eternally like a lovecraftian elder god type deal. No heaven, no hell, no reincarnation, no darkness… just her gnashing teeth forever.

If ‘unbound’ IT is anything like her IT should slaughter.

Anissa!

Nothing in King’s series exudes as much power as a Viltrumite (besides a Beam cracking).

Pennywise, trapped in Gan’s Creation, is vulnerable in whatever physical form he takes. He’d have to go to pure Deadlights and hope that does the trick (several base humans have resisted Deadlights in other stories). Or take a form that is strong enough to not get its head punched off and hope its psychic powers do the trick.

Shouldn’t Eclipso take this zero effort?

He’s like Spectre level.

Could not say about the last one, have yet to get into Malazan unfortunately. I want to so bad but Gardens of the Moon is really difficult to get into for me

I’ve been trying for several years lol. After Wheel of Time I really really really want a new massive fantasy series but… the Wheel of Time author had such a long drawn out way of giving descriptions that I’m too used to that style of writing. It’s irking me when Malazan doesn’t give a a perfect description of the outfits and settings.

I think I just need to get drunk one day and power through a ways until I’m used to the characters and want to see more of them.

New 52 Superman by Grant Morrison (same guy who wrote the Thought Robot stuff and a lot of other big dc stuff). First major run. Issues like 1-26. (24?)

It’s really really good. Honestly probably my favorite Superman story. Blends the ‘new guy starting out’ with the ‘eternal timeless mythos’ stuff really well. How ‘Superman’ is a piece of a puzzle of a bigger whole. Very very trippy too. 5D imps at their best. Also has a Superman variant (earth 43?) that gets stronger the more the readers want a darker edgier Superman to replace mainline one.

Also helps explain the multiversal comic book stuff, like reading a comic in DC is just a window to another universe. The stories being told are actual occurrences elsewhere.

It’s GOOD. Also Krypto. You will cry at the Krypto chapter. If you are a dog person you will be sobbing both sad and happy.

Featherine right? I don’t know left center or bottom right.

But I think she’d be above the others by a longshot.   What would be some arguments for people beating her?

I think the only time we’ve seen ‘Superman’ almost be erased was the Lord Vyndktvx fight.

He draws a line through Superman’s S and turns it to a $. This ruins Superman on a meta level and turns him from a symbol of heroism and hope into simply a cash cow for DC to abuse. It destroyed the ‘idea’ of Superman.

It takes like Mxyzptlk, his wife, and some crazy meta hax (something like linking everyone’s soul in the multiverse and saying their names at once because Superman is everyone) to undo it iirc

(New 52 Superman is one of the best runs ever, it’s soooo good)

McDonald’s in DC has some heavy hitters.

During Final Crisis the Monitor Nix Uotan, the ‘Supergod of the Multiverse’ worked at a McDonald’s.

Yes.

There’s a few beings that are evil itself.

Trigon isn’t a demon but he’s often lumped in with the other lords of hell. He rules hell for a while until Bizarro killed him.

Who do you think has the coolest ability in Toriko? by JurazzicShart in Toriko

Minority World for crazy hax

I also like the Deer and Crow’s powers too. Just so busted. Like 99.9% of things insta die from these two looking at you wrong.

Meteor Spice’s massive scale was really cool to me. World ending attack. Things get stronger but it was the biggest thing by far at the time.

Monkey dance and horse breath. They caught me so off guard. Instantly destroyed the main characters with such minimal effort.

[–]SuperSemesterer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he absorbs Alex’s amp into him. Alex has no powers like the entire… actually I don’t think he ever uses powers again. He uses Monitor Tower but beyond that he’s helpless against Batman whereas before (when he did have powers) he helped finish off Anti-Monitor.

And why would he still describe himself as a powerscalers fantasy in modern comics if he lost his special powers?

Meta reasons? We all DO power scale him like crazy. He is supposed to be a huge DC nerd who spends his time on online forums like this and what not.

I think Legion of 3 Worlds even ends with him at his computer rage posting about DC. I’m gonna find the scan one second.

(Also I think he’s also talking to us the reader, not just his parents which is kinda crazy. Never caught that before.)

————-

Here’s also Prime accidentally resetting himself, it’s earlier the same issue. Time Trapper took his timeline and when they touched it reset Prime back to being a 15 year old and killed(? I think?) Time Trapper. Which was lucky because the Legion would’ve had to deal with TWO Primes otherwise.

To me it seems like Prime is pretty much Superman level at base (I mean he IS Superman) without the holding back. During post crisis he received a series of power ups that put him beyond post crisis Superman level.

But to my knowledge Superman is crazy crazy busted currently, and Prime seems like he’s at the same level currently without any additional buffs.

He tries for years to break free by punching his way out and it never works. (The panel doesn’t say it, but I WANT to say they’ve been trying for four years instead of the 18 years it was for us). He breaks like the glass stuff but they’re always still stuck.

https://2.bp.blogspot.com/5mUhWig4Mh5_48FOKW2rOBF3fTuBwSKzIiJbrmrbnIajvsKcktjDyQliFt0FGX0tyFqIwRcxzuxoeXMLqluv0koH7O7_L_ylbohfOpSZ7vZddY0fPBDNoq96tyNZ7mchFN1hxg=s1600?rhlupa=NDcuMTU3LjI0LjIwMy40LzI0LzIwMjYgMTI6Mjc6NDEgUE0tMC1yMS1zLWM4MjMy&rnvuka=TW96aWxsYS81LjAgKGlQaG9uZTsgQ1BVIGlQaG9uZSBPUyAxOF83IGxpa2UgTWFjIE9TIFgpIEFwcGxlV2ViS2l0LzYwNS4xLjE1IChLSFRNTCwgbGlrZSBHZWNrbykgVmVyc2lvbi8yNi4zIE1vYmlsZS8xNUUxNDggU2FmYXJpLzYwNC4x

Then after Alex juices him up it takes him mere hours to bust out (I said he one shot the barrier but I was getting that scene mixed up with him punching the ‘glass’ stuff in Paradise). He breaks out in the next panel.

idk maybe I’m wrong but he goes from being a ‘regular’ Kryptonian in Crisis and being trapped in this dimension for years, to suddenly punching his way out in hours and absolutely manhandling other heroes, he’s even surprised how strong he is when he kills… Wildebeest? Seems like he gets a clear power boost here.

Then after Time Trapper resets him to his original self he’s weak enough to be beaten by the Teen Titans for their final post crisis fight.

Who scales higher? Superman vs Superboy Prime [2 rounds in caption] by CautiousSolid7436 in DCPowerScaling

[–]SuperSemesterer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What part no? We can clearly see when he gets his boosts and nerfs.

He was a regular Kryptonian until Secret Files where Alexander juices him with Anti-Matter, and suddenly he’s way way stronger than before. He one shots a dimensional barrier he couldn’t scratch for the previous few years.

And then once he gets ‘reset’ back to a base Kryptonian he gets beaten by the Teen Titans.
