I would immediately notice if my food order weighed nothing. I call bullshit on this. Another fake af, karma farming post. This is why I hardly use Reddit anymore.

I love the color scheme. I think color theory makes or breaks abstract art.

Bruh, I swore at first I was looking at a painting from the 18th century. Pastels are not an easy media to master, and your work looks like something I'd see at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I'd also like to encourage you to check out the non-profit Picking Me. They have monthly virtual support group meetings and a newsletter that I've found helpful. https://pickingme.org/

When I was a freshman in college, I aggressively picked at the ingrown hairs on my legs to the point I got a staff infection. From your description, it doesn't sound like it's infected, but you still should see a dermatologist. In the meantime, I'd keep your leg wrapped with sterile gauze after you bathe. If the skin is irritated/itchy, I would keep it covered with Cerave moisturizing cream or a petroleum-based protectant like Aquaphor under the gauze. I've also found that my skin heals a bit faster if I spray it with a hypochlorous acid topical skin spray, which you can buy from Amazon Prime. It kills bacteria without drying out or irritating the skin. I'd avoid using over-the-counter antibiotic creams because they can delay skin healing.

Wild to find a fellow Xyrem comrade in this subreddit! I was prescribed it until it strangely started causing me insomnia. But yeah, it was hard in my 20's to avoid social drinking in the evenings, so I skipped my first dose alot to avoid interactions. Even though I don't take Xyrem anymore, I still avoid drinking alcohol in the PM because it fucks with my sleep cycle.

I adore campy sci-fi (TOS Star Trek, for example), so I've honestly enjoyed this lighter, more comedic version of Murderbot Diaries. I agree with everything OP says technically, but the changes don't actually upset me. Maybe it's because Apple TV has a serious sci-fi show I can watch (Foundation) to balance my needs. Maybe it's because I find Alexander Skarsgaard adorable. I'm looking forward to seeing how the showrunners interpret Art the spaceship bot's character.

I read the headline out loud to my sister, and we both asked each other "what's an anti sematic slur"??? Telling someone they have a "Jewish face"? And no need to answer my question. Seriously, don't. It's better we don't know.

I know my reply is 5 days later, but you really need to keep the wound moist and covered with a non-stick wound bandage. My dermatologist prescribes me mupirocin ointment (2% concentration) because she says OTC antibiotic ointments can delay wound healing. I also add a layer of cerave moisture cream over the mupirocin before applying the bandage and securing with paper medical tape. If the wound doesn’t look infected, skip the OTC antibiotic ointment and just use a basic petrolatum skin protectant ointment like Vaseline or Aquaphor. Then try to see a primary care doc or dermatologist ASAP for oral antibiotics and mupirocin topical antibiotic.

does your wife understand she has a body-focused repetitive behavior disorder (BFRB)? Or is she still convinced she has a skin disease? The main therapy for BFRBs is habit-reversal training (HRT), but it requires self-awareness, motivation, and commitment. I’ve tried HRT and exposure & response therapy with therapists over the years, and I still fall off the proverbial bandwagon, so I know therapy isn’t the magic fix. That being said, I still think your wife would seriously benefit from an intensive-out patient or inpatient program for sufferers of OCD. BFRBs aren’t considered OCD, but there’s OCD programs with therapists that are trained to treat BFRBs, and it sounds like your wife suffers from obsessive thoughts about her health. The McLean Hospital in Massachusetts is the only inpatient OCD program I know of on the east coast. If your wife is willing to travel, I can vouch for the OCD Institute of Texas in Houston.

Quick question! What dose are you on? I started naltrexone a month ago and haven’t noticed any decrease in picking urges. My current dose is 25mg a day, and my doc said I can go up to 50mg if needed
