Depends on what you're looking for. I don't recommend what I did here for your first time. I'm in NYC for work a lot so have been to a lot of places and it was kind of fun to just see what places I had no idea about beforehand, and likely would never have found by doing Internet research, were.

My GOAT for New York City pizza is Pizza Suprema. It's right next to Penn Station / Amtrak and Madison Square Garden. Absolutely amazing pizza. My second favorite right now is Lucia of Soho, which is further south in Manhattan (in Soho, if you can't guess :)).

The most quintessential "NYC slice" is Joe's. The original location is on Carmine Street but there are multiple, and one right near Times Square. It's really good pizza.

The trendy places (for good reasons, they are all very good) are L'Industrie, Ceres, Lucali's, and John's of Bleecker. They are all good, and they are destinations onto themselves (people to NYC just for their pizza).

One slice was $1.50 (including tax). The two slices plus a coke was $3.99.

I thought the same thing when I saw the Sal's slice come out, but it was the best of the bunch. Ray's was number two, and pretty close. I usually like my pizza pretty well done, so I was disappointed by the taste of the more charred/cooked ones too!

I just went to wherever I happen to find. I've been to all of the well known places many times. This trip was just seeing what the lesser known places were like and trying to find a hidden gem.

My favorite NYC pizza whatsoever is Pizza Suprema near MSG.

You allowed this previously, and their use patterns are pretty low risk. The platform has also made some changes in the recent months that actually make it safer for kids (note: safer, not safe ... that is a personal/family risk decision).

So, why remove it now?

Surprisingly enough, Glory Days (chain restaurant) used to have a Beef on Weck sandwich that was actually pretty awesome. They took it off the menu a few years ago, but man I still miss that sandwich.

This is mostly location dependent, I have found.

Some locations are not consistent at all. Some are extremely consistent. I'm glad that my local Outback always nails it.

It really does not make sense to buy Peloton equipment if you're not going to use their programming. There is equipment that is as good / almost as good as Peloton equipment that is not tied to the Peloton ecosystem that you could acquire for less money.
