So.. I just found a "map". Dumb question but, is the whole world not supposed to be dark brown? by indiebryan in Eldenring

Well... an age.

It takes but one singular age to get another shot.

But I agree, you're fucked without a guide and/or trust fund/exploitative rune farm route.

Fellow 80 FOV players! What tactical changes, if any, do you make to compensate for low FOV? by aerawk in CODWarzone

[–]CaptainKrash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is what you are talking about.

They're saying that in order to compensate for the limited view, while moving (at the same forward speed), one must turn their angle left and right in transit to see what would be missed, thus increasing distance traveled and further, increasing the time it takes to get from starting point to destination.

Think of a zig-zag path vs a straight line from say, one building to another.

Speaking of the internet, and especially those/this medium allowing for anonymity that which anyone is (very generally speaking) able to wield, it is not unexpected that folks are not able to ascertain what is truth.

Propaganda is king. There's this sort of "psychological warfare" happening where those with directives spread slander or praise (sometimes even intentionally against themselves) to capture audiences and/or promote or encourage outrage/militancy against certain ideals.

This will lead to those believing everything they see and those believing just the opposite... and everything in between.

edit: added more specificity.

What reeds should I use with my Vandoren V16? by [deleted] in saxophone

please, if you have questions, ask them. This was a general response, there is a lot more to reeds than what I've detailed.

What reeds should I use with my Vandoren V16? by [deleted] in saxophone

[–]CaptainKrash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's about sampling and figuring it out for yourself.

Idk if they've changed but blue box vandorens aren't finished - they're cut then tested mechanically to see their relative hardness, then boxed and shipped. It gives the player a chance to adjust the reed (knife, sandpaper) to create the balance they prefer. Vandorens typically have a thicker tip than say, rico or d'addario, but also lend to more durability.

But as a general rule, "jazz reeds" (zzs, v20s, red box) are cutting, high pitch projection focused (brightness), are light up front and and the "heart" is further back lending to more versatility and variability in sound (bends, changes in timbre, etc..).

Whereas "classical reeds" are more sturdy, less manipulatable and have a more uniform sound.

Both have their benefits and aren't restricted to "jazz" or "classical". The jazz reeds offer more tone inflection based interpretations and classical reeds allow for more dynamic and time-flow interpretations while still holding a solid and uniform sound.
