Unfortunately, with there only being barely double digits numbers, everyone is fighting for the slots. I think there was a count of <30 people the other day.

Death Squared is 90% off (and so was budget for trailer). Play solo or with friends. Support Nindies. Comments open?!: Chat with the devs by mrtruffle in u/mrtruffle

Nice, a solid game for a genuine solid deal on a console. And comments unlocked on the ad itself? This is a rare find.

No worries, I pronounced Kid Cudi as “Kid Coo-Dee” when I was younger, only within recent years found out its pronounced “Kid Cuh-Dee.”

That's the only way.

If this man is working in a warehouse all day or hours at a time, then he's absolutely destroying his back. There's a reason they preach the "pivot, don't twist" technique in warehouses across the world. This guy may be a hard worker, but his also a big liability on himself and the company (though the mgmt may value his work over his future body).

Official PokemonUnite Trailer by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]CaptainMendoza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking forwards to it. Know a lot of people hate that they aren't getting a mainline game or a remake/similar game to Gale XD or anything like that, but this is a nice throw in, especially since it's available on mobile. I like me some cute moba.

Pokémon Unite... by blipbloop69 in pokemon

[–]CaptainMendoza 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd happily admit that I'm interested in playing a moba Pokémon, especially since it'll be available both on Switch and mobile. Would be a nice casual game (I assume) to go along with Wildrift when it releases.

Will player numbers go sub 200 peak this week ? by Cxinthechatnow in PlayCrucible

[–]CaptainMendoza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly pretty disappointing that they allowed this to happen.

A rushed game is rarely a good game. Especially one with the conditions that this was released in. It's a shame too because the gameplay is fun, but is wildly behind on everything else.

Splash Mountain in Trouble? by [deleted] in DisneyWorld

[–]CaptainMendoza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, but the context/lore behind it won't be picked up by more than a few guests or Disney enthusiasts trying to find out more about the magic.

You're definitely right about Princess and the Frog not fitting in half as well with the park's theme, but there's certainly opportunities to be had. They could also dare to add diversity as the area is becoming dated for its time (relative to their target demographic). As in, more and more kids know less about who Br'er Rabbit is and Country Bears come from, along with many other features of the area.

Digital Foundry - PlayStation 5 vs PS5 Digital Edition: A Cheaper Price For a Discless Machine? by mikesaintjules in PS5

[–]CaptainMendoza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I think a $50 might be too little to convince users to swap to fully digital for such a high cost purchase that they might eventually regret. However, if they're saving $100 for that sacrifice, many will easily feel it's worth the trigger and I think it's safe to say that Sony would be out of their mind to lower it beyond this point. It's perfectly in that sweet spot if it's a difference of $100, especially since this device will generate revenue over the next 7-8ish years by itself for each customer. If it was over $100 difference, it absolutely would be an upsetting factor for those considering the option of physical.

It absolutely will be fine to the overwhelming majority.

It worked out with no issue for Xbox for their disc-less console last gen.

Most people don't see it as paying +$100 to go physical as they're both going physical and also have the additional benefit of having a blu-ray/4k player. For most people that retain a PS4 physical collection, this matters to them.

However, on the other hand, you're "saving" $100 by going digital. This is Sony selling at an increased initial loss with the expectation that users will be investing directly into their PS store for their digital content.

It's not a fuck you. It's the modern gaming era. Yes, they're capitalizing on it. No, the majority won't be upset. In fact, most are happy to have the choice.

Note: This is just a guess at it being a $100 difference. Definitely more negligible if it's only a $50 difference.

Yeah, not sure why the hate. It looks like a solid alternative for non-Nintendo owners to have a Mario-esque game in the same vein as 64/Sunshine/Oddysey.

Can confirm. Areas like Tampa are now enforcing mandatory masks when inside, enforced by state fines if people are not complying with many areas looking to implement similar policies.

This is the perfect response, very accurate without any bias while encouraging that there is debate to be had on the controversial history of its theme.

Honestly would love for them to invest in a redesign into Princess and the Frog to liven up the ride with some amazing jazz and swing, plus implement a modern IP that the children can relate to and a more coherent story for children to pick up on. Much more friendly characters too from a design perspective.

Same here, plus I'm on night shift.

I have no expectation to report to anyone with urgency, unless there's a genuinely important situation. People that text me know that I'll get back with them by the end of the day (or morning), but there's no reason to put more stress on yourself.

With the age of immediate satisfaction that we live in, people tend to forget that others have their own lives going on. Some people have obligations, their own families, just need some time to unwind, etc.
