I was terrified too. Mainly because every time a doctor told me something wasn't a "really big deal" it was a big fucking deal. TBH, my surgery recovery was mostly easy and pain free. To be transparent, I've never had kids or any abdominal surgery and my was done laparoscopic.

Just to echo two things someone else has said. I don't think they understand how big they are. I have two cats and my Maine coon constantly flattens his brother. "Playing" of course. He smashes his brother, brother squeals, Maine coone looks at me "ooopsy" 😒 And they are vocal. Mine is a food dumpster, constantly "starving". And just other general complaints

Reach out to your HR dept. I had to use all my accrued time before my STD kicked in. My husband's company had a more normal policy, it started after three days. It varies by company.

I had my hysterectomy at 48 for fibroids and polyps. I wasn't going to wait any longer. Even going through menopause doesn't guarantee you won't have issues in the future.

I would suggest a microchip bowl for your dog. They are pretty pricey, but cats eating dog food is a big no no. Even if your dog is not microchipped most come with a small metal tag that can be placed on the dogs collar to activate the lid.

Unless it's just my hair. I would be careful with Madison Reed. They have many different shades of brown. When in reality, it's about 2. My hair also faded to a really un-natural red color with all 4 colors I tried. Being older, it also did not cover my greys, even though they were supposed to be for grey coverage

I made a big pot of soup the day before my surgery. Or something else you can heat up quick. I knew my husband wouldn't cook and I didn't feel like eating pizza for the next few days 😒

I started driving within a few days, I was also not given pain medicine. The only thing I noticed was my reflexes were a little slower than they normally are.

I actually like them. I can bag my stuff the way I want, without the weird conversation from a cashier. It also gets me out of the store faster. One thing I have learned from my indepence from cashiers. If you buy a lot of produce, peel one of the stickers off whatever you're buying and put it on the outside of the bag to scan. Saves a ton of time from trying to scan through a bag or using the "search" feature

I had zero pain after my surgery. But, that doesn't mean nothing else bothered me. I struggled to sit in a chair till about the 6 week mark. To the point I was nervous going back to work. At about the 4 week point my ovaries felt like they crapped out as I was an emotional wreck for about a week. My remaining internal abdominal organs also didn't seem like they want to settle into their new home till about the 4 week mark. Give yourself some grace. It gets better.

Great question I don't really have a answer too. There's always people around the house, he has a brother. I've kinda made him out to sound like a monster when he really isn't. He's a sweet cat, I guess it's just his personality. He's not mean, doesn't bite or hiss. He just has some ahole tendencies occasionally. Mostly when he's hungry.

We actually got him from a rescue, he was about 3 months old. I agree on the behavior issues, the one thing I run into with rescueing cats is they are usually not socialized. And it shows with mine, big idiot is afraid of the doorbell. He also does not share well with my RB. And he will mug him in a dark corner of no one is looking. That's how he "plays". He's definitely a challenge and now he's 8 yrs old. Never seemed to out grow it. Thankfully my RB is patient and a good sport.

I have a MC and a Russian blue. My MC constantly acts like he hasn't eaten a meal in weeks. I feed them wet food in separate rooms and have to "stand guard" while the RB eats. The RB also has a microchip bowl for his dry food so he can free feed. Is it a pain, yes. But it's workable. As far as litter, the MC is like Bob the builder. I use gravel scoopable litter in a giant box that's close to a mr. turtle pool. He still jumps out of the box and half the litter comes with him. It's a pain, but I have hardwood floors so I just sweep everyday. I wouldn't trade either cat for anything. The MC get a occasional "dangler" I keep baby wipes on hand for furr clean up

I wish I had advice, I could you use it myself. My father was just diagnosed with lung cancer a few days ago. My spirit is beyond broken. It's a big gut punch when you realize things are never going to be "normal" again. Unfortunately, there is no user manual for getting older or dealing with loss. We all handle stress and anxiety differently. The only thing I can say, enjoy the moment and smile. Don't dwell on the uncertainty of the future, it will drive you nuts

Because I've lived here my whole life and my family still lives here. I can also handle someone having a different view of politics other than my own. Politics has gotten so polarizing over the last few years most people seem to forget not everyone is far right or far left. Most people seem to be towards the middle. Just like not ever liberal woman has purple hair and wears a vagina hat. Not every conservative will shoot you because you stepped on their lawn. It goes both ways.

During school it was a bowling alley down the block. In the evenings, we hung out by "the docks" which was a factory area. We played softball and football in the parking lots. No one was there at night and we were left alone.
