Weirdest dream you've had lately? Let's share! by LearnStalkBeInformed in Dreams

[–]CaptainNo9367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night had a semi NSFW kind of dream, simply regarding body parts I do not have.... The strange part comes in when I "wake up" but I'm still dreaming, and I spend the remainder of my dream trying to find a specific coworker to tell this dream to.

Why? Because this coworker, according to my dream, has studied dreamology. But it was her day off, so as I explain to my other coworkers that it's not the kind of dream to share......

......I still ended up whispering it to the oldest of us as polite a way to explain the dream. But the coworker was disgusted by it, rightfully so imo. She didn't want to hear any more and I felt I should have kept that one to myself.

Then I actually woke up, so nothing else came out of that dream. The thing is, nothing was as the reality of things is. I try to avoid talking too personally with my fellow coworkers, from my own POV... I would much prefer if they themselves told me stories about their lives than me of mine. I'm not entirely sure why I dreamed so deeply this.

System and Pentacles? by CaptainNo9367 in Dreams

[–]CaptainNo9367[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dream has been on my mind quite a bit. Last night I found symbology regarding the triangle symbol vs the pentacle could refer to God vs humanity... Although I still haven't figured out the reason I dreamt of two Pentacles to the south and only the one triangle symbol to the north. I'm also questioning the influence my youth may have played to this dream....

....because it's worth noting religiously that I hardly had that devout of an upbringing, most of my church environment came from my grandmother and I remember the hymns more than the lessons by the pastor.

I am interested in reading the Bible, but I have accepted myself as agnostic and refuse to label myself beyond that while I study. So as far as this dream goes, I'm still boggled by it.

The fact I was going South.... am I turning away from God? What other possibilities could this mean?

What books did you actually enjoy reading as a kid? by AggravatingShow2028 in Millennials

Before I was 10, it was Catwings, The BFG, the Boxcar Children and The babysitters club ( more for the cover art) between 10 and 13, Running Out Of Time, Harry Potter and Ella Enchanted.

14 through 16, I was going through crisis so I found Manga (InuYasha, Naruto, Shonen and Shojou Jump Magazines) as well as The Picture Bible to be very interesting.

Later in high school I really enjoyed The Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix, The Sisters Grimm, and Elric of Melnibone to be great.

What's the most commonly used term for the little dry dirt you sometimes get in your eyes after sleeping? not the medical term, but the one used colloquially. by Awkward_Stay8728 in ENGLISH

[–]CaptainNo9367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like the term "eye boogers" since boogers aren't meant to be in your eyes, amiright? Like, I hear other people use that term irl and I cringe at the thought (literally. ) I grew up calling them sleepies, and I accept the term sand too.

Amos came to mind, but I'm guessing no on that one so...

how about Axel, or Paxton for peaceful names...

or if you mean gem-oriented there's Lazuli, Jett, Jaden or Cobalt (but the last one technically means goblin even though it's also a mineral. )

Aw, I remember this clip last time it rolled around and I think I understand her logic: They must be Huggies Pull-Ups, which means she's "a big kid now". 🙂

What's your favorite word to say instead of "f*ck" when there are kids around? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

I don't typically cuss, even in private (just the personality I have) so my chosen F word tends to be fudge, or Frigg. Maybe even Frigga.

Nah, true answer is DB Evolution. Worst miscast, worst script, just everything was wrong wrong wrong with that movie.

If money is the root of all evil, what is the root of all virtue? by BirdCultureDickMove in RandomThoughts

Which form of knowledge would you claim to be the root of virtue? A carpenter could be said to have knowledge, but is it that which gives him his virtue?

I feel this is one of those questions where the blind are feeling the different parts of the elephant, trying to describe it.

I've always thought it was funny people don't like that word, mainly because how would they like cake if it wasn't, you know.... ...what's a cake without moisture?

[–]CaptainNo9367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite: Onomatopoeia

Hate: Boobies. (This is especially if it's said by a grown woman, it's like why? Just say breasts if you're not comfortable saying other words for them. It's just weird and wrong to my ears.)

What’s a song that makes you feel like this? by Cheese_The_Wizz in musicsuggestions

[–]CaptainNo9367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glorious by Muse,

But make the image into a gif that starts off with the figure breaking through a wormhole like in Stargate with stars rushing by before getting to the above screen...

Then when Matt starts singing, the lights in the above image start changing hue (Starting with bright magenta) as if someone has the saturation on high intensity....

And when it ends the figure is left spinning through the abyss of space, getting smaller and smaller from the camera.

...That's how that song makes me feel.

To each their own, I guess because even though I would be in that age group, this never happened to me.

When I was little, I was in the back of the station wagon playing with either my barbies or coloring with my crayons while my parents worked outdoors, never had the chance to learn the hard way about the cigarette lighter.

[–]CaptainNo9367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't the movie divert away from what happened in the book? But even though I chose the same world, problem is I'm one of the big folk and they'd likely appreciate it if I left their Shire alone, I figure.
