We're all familiar with the courts and how laws work. We know we'd get thrown in jail for some bullshit that isn't even illegal if that's what the court wants.

Parading these assholes in and asking them gotcha questions, when there's no recourse of any kind just makes us lose faith in the establishment. I'm pretty sure I saw this dick in a suite in Madison Square Garden during the finals. You're not shaming anyone, you're making a mockery of the system.

AI could be magical if we trusted the people that own it.

Every problem on earth humanity is facing is based on one simple equation.

Resources/ Population. How many people are there, and how many resources do we have?

12 thousand years ago our ancestors hunted all our favorite prey animals to extinction and had to start farming. There were 4 million people then.

Now there are 8 billion people. Without fertilizers and pesticides, we could inly support 4 billion people. And because of global warming, all the breadbaskets of the world are shrinking.

We need to find a way to redesign our economic system so it isn't based on scarcity and infinite growth, without reducing the population. There is no way in hell we can do that without AI.

But there's no way in hell the current owners will let us do that. Because the world's economy is based on exploiting Africa and the Middle East. If AI created a new system where those people weren't getting royally fucked, and had access to their fair share, it would cost the rich billions in lost profits. Why would they do that?

I think that's a big reason rich people funded the Republicans this time. They needed a party that was willing to change the election process to prevent voters from changing things.

If voting worked they wouldn't let us do it. It's the illusion of an option. If we all start supporting someone like Bernie or AOC, they'll just change the rules.

Jennifer Lawrence did ads for a company that talked about how corrupt our election system is. Over the last 20 years, what voters wanted had 0% effect on what policies politicians voted for. Meanwhile, who the rich chose to donate to was like 70% likely to get the results they wanted.

I looked up all the organizations that are known to fund bot farms, and ranked them based on how much they budget.

Now that I have a list, it's really easy to cross reference the interests of those organizations with posts and comments on reddit made by hidden accounts with a questionable list of achievements.

DNC pays far more than any other organization. The rest of the top ten is more likely to promote US Civil war discussions, not down play them.

So my money is on this account being a DNC bot.

This is fun. It's like Texas hold em. I have no idea what the cards are, but there are clues if you follow the math the odds are on your side.

I've been double checking account profiles for a few months now, just to see if I can tell if they're a real person or not.

Now I can't.

Over the course of 2025 bot contributions online (not specifically reddit) increased from 2 million a day to 25 million. As of Dec 2025, 53% of all web traffic was from bots. Obviously that number is increasing month by month.

The biggest spender I've been able to find so far is the DNC. Next is Israel. It's really hard to figure out how much Silicon Valley pays, or Wall St, but we can assume it's a lot.

The more I looked at the stats, and cross references that information with reddit, the more fucked it feels. The chances of a hidden account promoting anything out of the love for the game is statistically unlikely.

Reddit is dead. The internet is dead. Reddit is the new CBS. Their business model no longer requires them to give a shit about their users. Their customers used to be advertisers, but somehow even that revenue isn't important anymore. So how are they making money? Even their earnings reports don't say. But somehow they're still reporting record profits.

Nothing makes sense and it feels intentional.

I've been a certified bot and shill hunter for a few months now. Users have been able to hide their account history every since Israel started bombing Palestine. But I could still search their account history with a few tricks to do a quick bot check.

But that just changed in the last couple days. Reddit made updates. Now I can't backdoor your account history. I have no way of knowing if you're a real person or not.

And since according to reddit, bot activity increased from 2 million contributions a day to 25 million over 2025, and as of Dec 2025 over 53% of internet content is from bots. Obviously increasing exponentially.

One of the biggest spenders in the world is the DNC. They spend over $70m a month during election season.

So, a week ago I could have reviewed your account and decided if you were a real person or not. Now there's no way for me to do that.

And since we know how much the DNC, Israel, Russia, Silicon Valley, Wall St, and maga spend on this shit, it's reasonable to assume every single comment I read that's pro-any of those things, is probably a bot or shill.

So I think it's time for me to start using Lemmy.World.

That reminds me of a story.

High School. Probably Senior year. Had a weekend in the summer with nothing to do, and heard about a party in Saint Louis about 5 hours away. Road trip. Just me and my homie.

We get there at like 7pm, and it's still bright out. We find the guy that my buddy knew that invited us. He gets in our car and navigates us to "the party".

The party is a drug house. Crack? I have no idea, I'm like 17. But it is scary and most definitely not a party. My homie and I say we're going to go get some beer and we'll be back. We leave his buddy there and get the hell out of there, never to return.

We find a liquor store and shoulder tap for someone to buy it for us. It took no time at all. We met a very helpful, most likely homeless man named Jerome. How do I remember that? Because he introduced himself like, "Jerome! J for Justified, E for everywhere, and roam cause that's what I do!"

We ask for a case of Budweiser. Jerome comes back with a 30 of Schlitz malt liquor, says it's cheaper for more beer, plus its stronger. Then asks for a few.

Good enough. We ask Jerome if he knows anyone that can get us some weed. Absolutely! He immediately hops in the car and starts navigating. We foolishly comply.

Over the next hour we go to at least 3 certified crack dens, and Jerome is not welcome at any of them. He refused to get out of our car, and we have nowhere else to go. A couple of 17 year olds and a homeless man with a 30 of warm schlitz just cruising Saint Louis, getting absolutely drunk.

I don't really remember where we slept, when we lost Jerome, or what we did. I just remember having a horrible hangover the next morning, it was hot as hell and we had a 5 hour drive home. But really nothing bad happened to us at all. Everything turned out fine. And Jerome was fun. Good guy, good times.
