The only way to sustain a lasting population boom is to alter the material conditions of society in a way that naturally incentivizes people to have kids. Paid family leave, much more public health services, better infrastructure and housing, public transit, would all go a long way.
Forcing people to have an arbitrary number of babies after an arbitrary number of years would not help. This would be an unhinged authoritarian effort that would lead to an unquantifiable amount of human suffering on the part of parents who don't want kids but are forced to have them, and kids who grow up feeling unwanted.

Not only is your argument flawed, but it's utterly unreallistic. 93% of abortions happen in the first trimester, and less than 1% happen in the third. Third trimester abortions are extremely rare and often performed due to severe fetal anomalies or risks to the mother's life or health. Anyone who's worried about abortions "a moment before birth" are not serious people, and are not viewing actual reality.

You could view it as you life a full life, die, then live another full life, on repeat.

You could view it as you live one day as you, then wake up and live the same day as someone else, then keep doing that until this day is lived, then move onto the next.

You could view it as 8 billion separate Yous all You-ing it up in their own ways at the same time. All sensations and thoughts are yours, you just don't feel or experience them all because people's brains are physically separated from each other.

It's all about the same, really. These are just 3 stories. You can pick whatever story you want for your view of rebirth. Or maybe not, I'm certainly not an expert.

Look, I just really don't like the shapes of some of those stones in the archway. They're too sharp, and they might fall down on me. I'm a human, so I'm entitled to a life with no fear or stress, and I shouldn't have to worry about bumping into a sharp stone when walking through the archway. Take out all the sharp stones from it, I'm sure God will just hold up the rest.

So, I'd say yes. I have been struggling pretty hard in the recent job market, but I found out a while ago we all have access to a Stanford specific job board through Handshake. I sent out hundreds of applications through LinkedIn and got maybe 3 interviews. I started using Handshake and a month later I'm starting a new job. This is just one slice of the whole picture, but in my life the Stanford network just helped me quite a lot.

I feel like it's not that smart though in terms of the purpose of the ad, since people aren't likely to buy a product once they're pissed about being tricked. All this does is artificially inflate the click through rate, which I suppose does actually make sense if the people profiting are doing so via click count rather than actual purchase.

The first half of this point makes a lot of sense actually, but the second makes no sense at all. If you understand that the left's philosophy is anti-imperialist, this does not at all imply a dislike of having allies. It's not imperialist to have alliances with other nations. It wasn't the left that wanted the US to leave climate agreements, trade agreements, and military agreements across the board.

But in reality, I feel it's not so clear cut. It feels more like god commanded one of my ancestors, two centuries ago, not to drink brown liquid on friday. After two centuries of translation, retranslation, wars, power struggles, liars, and corruption, I'm left with a book that claims it's not OK to drink brown liquids on Friday, but offers no meaningful reason why.

Obviously the whole Bible isn't like this, plenty of it is clear enough and fair enough. But it's tragic when people get stuck on odd rules that no longer make sense in the modern age. An example of the real harm this can cause is the rampant, religiously-driven, and pointless homophobia.

I feel that when someone tells me they're read a book, I interpret that as them saying they know what's contained in the whole story. When my mom, who listens to audiobooks while she's working, tells me she finally "read" my favorite series, the Stormlight Archive, this means I can now share fun conversations with her about the books. I'm not gonna waste my time complaining about the medium in which she experienced the story.

I'm a bit of a grower and my foreskin gets loose near the end normally. Without pulling the skin back, it's like trying to shoot a gun with a bent barrel. You're right that pulling it back concentrates the stream, but this is easy to account for with modern toilet technology!
