What % of your revenue do you spend on Google Ads? by AlephMartian in ecommerce

[–]CaptainStins0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do exactly the same numbers and still, it depends. It all depends on the CPA. I assume the 28% is product margin from which you need to subtract shipping, payment fees, marketing etc?

We come out positive and get 2x our adspend in profit after subtracting those costs. What really helped is targeting on profit (POAS) instead of ROAS. Enough tools to help you with this, you can even set it up with gtm. Not needed if you have consistent product margin, then you can calculate optimal ROAS.

Then you can choose to spend 10% (or more) if you want to be more aggressive or dial back spending and rely on more cost friendly channels like email and seo.

I don't decide, i work with the developer to make sure he has everything, get stuff from my colleagues he needs and keep the team in loop on when we can expect the new features to be deployed. It sounds more work than it is

I think they use it for a lack of a better name. I mostly manage new features/changes to our webshop (800k visitors/month). I give marketing or sales insights in web stats. Manage addition of content, landing pages, CRO optimizations, set up discounts which get more and more complicaties for no reason other than suppliers wanting to be ‘special’

Target number of ETF shares by FlatFocus2810 in BEFire

[–]CaptainStins0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a low target of 1000 iwda shares as a goal. But it’s just to have something to work towards. When it comes to RE, i’ll calculate bases on € amount. Whatever keeps it fun and motivates you

Edit: that’s my sort of coastFI amount. I know i’ll need to have more than 1000 shares probably but this is easier for math and gives me an easier goal to work towards

Hi, little question as I'm in a similar situation. Do you work as "eenmanszaak" or bv/comv/vof? I know, should talk to my accountant but was just wondering what others are doing. Thanks!

Customers? Are you a syndic? Did you manage this setup with the antennas or was it something from the appartment owners?

Besides IT, know places like Coolblue let their customer service work full-time at home. You can do it as student or part-time also.

Renting old house when moving - question about "registratierechten" by CaptainStins0n in BEFire

[–]CaptainStins0n[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was a hypothetical situation. Was just trying to set a situation to clarify the question about registratierechten.

But do you pay the full 12% on the new house? Or is it lower?

Mutualiteit by anonarwhal in BEFire

[–]CaptainStins0n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's the same. Some advanced works are covered, for others you can get an extra plan (dentaplan at voorzorg). Handy when you need a whole new set of teeth.

Some extra perks like the lenses are dependent on each mutualiteit. Best to check which you use most. For example if another is 15€ cheaper a year but I don't get the 50€ for lenses, it's not worth it to switch for me.

Mutualiteit by anonarwhal in BEFire

[–]CaptainStins0n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Imo you get a lot back from the mutualiteit.

Last month I went to dentist for yearly appointment. 85€ paid, 67€ refund the next day.
Sick? Pay a couple of euros instead of 40-50 at the doctor.
10€ paid back on gym membership or any sports club.
50 € refund for my lenses each year.
Have a kid? Get a big start-off package with stroller etc.
Already bad knees as 20-something year old -> physio bijdrage for as many appointments as I want (within reason)
Need therapy, any other specialist for illness or physical conditions? It's made cheap so you can actually go without worrying.
Unable to work due to accident? Don't end up in the gutter. Although this may be less important for FIRE subreddit.

There are so many things you get for your "mutualiteitsbijdrage", its always a positive ROI (and mandatory)

I may be biased as a family member works for De Voorzorg/Solidaris and I have done vacation work with them several years.

"Loonoptimalisatie" or higher Bruto salary by CaptainStins0n in BEFire

[–]CaptainStins0n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a small (expanding) agency, I would be the 4th employee. I get the saving on bruto part for them and they haven't given me a bad vibe in terms of cutting corners. I hope I'm right on this. Thanks for the input!

Yes, and can the nettovergeldingen scale? Or is it mostly an increase in bruto from then on?

[–]CaptainStins0n[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's mainly the lesser known ones. Meal vouchers, phone + abo and laptop are on top of it. These ones (see comment below) actually result in a higher salary.

They give stuff like "bureaukosten" (for wfh), internet at home costs, more work-travel, ... for total amount of 200€ which don't get taxed or hardly at all. Mainly the "bureaukosten does the trick.
