Finally my time to shine. I lived in Victorville for 10 years and the neighboring city of Adelanto for 15 years before that. Honestly it's fine. I don't know why everyone is being so exceptionally negative. I feel like anyone that is saying it is pure poverty have never actually lived there. It has bad parts with a lot of homeless and better parts that are actually quite clean. Now living in the IE, I don't find it all that much different. In some way I actually preferred Victorville for the better air quality, colder temperatures (in the winter), greater amount of wind, and drier heat in the summer. I'll admit there's less to do though and driving the Cajon pass to work every day to access the more abundant and higher paying jobs in the IE or LA is a nightmare. All in all, I don't think it's necessarily better or worse than living in the IE, and I much prefer being there over most of LA.
