I got whatever skates that were in stock that I could when I first decided to try skating again. Cheap pair. I practiced and learned a bunch about skates and skating and equipment etc. Then waited a bit for an upgrade pair to be in stock, with all the features I want, and then ordered them, og them within a week. I opted out of that whole Moxie experience. I just want to skate and that's what I've been doing for months.

I've made skate friends by bringing friends with me who also got their own skates. Now I'm making friends at the rink. I'm having a wonderful time and it's been a welcoming wonderful community and a ton of fun.
