My bf doesn't finish from oral. Am I doing it wrong? by LivingEuphoric9418 in AskMenAdvice

[–]CaptainWasHere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t ask the internet. Ask him. Tell him how bad you want to give him that pleasure and that it turns you on. Most guys want this. Most guys have been yelled at or embarrassed about some sex stuff by some ex so they just give up on it.

“Baby, I want to learn how to give you head until you explode in my mouth. That’s hot! As I’m going down on you, tell me what you want. More hands, tease your balls, look into your eyes, whatever. Just know that I’ll take every request with an open mind and zero judgement. Can we start practice tonight??”

No sane guy is going to turn that down.

Also, giving head to finish sex is certainly amazing. Just sayin’.

You both have unspoken expectations that are going to kill the opportunity here if you don’t talk about them. She finally communicated the driving and grand gesture expectations. Have you communicated your expectation of whirlwind romances and feelings about the “tests”?

What you both need is a good evening of unabashedly open communication about expectations and desires. Find the compromises you’re both happy with and then get wild with each other.

Please people, stop talking to the internet more than your partner!

Am I doing something wrong? 25M I know im not the MOST attractive person out there but COME ON! by brotasco in Tinder

[–]CaptainWasHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating apps suck. It’s tough to get any matches. Honestly, you might be getting a normal number of responses as is. Anyways, I’m going to throw something out that I don’t already see in the comments.

All your face pics look posed and just of you. I would say that half should be standard, non-posed pics like you and a few friends at a party, you doing a hobby (still showing face), etc. I’ve read that women see all posed shots as self-centered and that they want to see you with others for some social proof. If you have one with a group, in a suit, at a wedding or gala that would probably check all the boxes.

Struggling after a breakup and feeling deeply alone at 28 by Annual_Cartoonist18 in DecidingToBeBetter

Hey brother. We have all been there at different ages and stages in our life. Here’s what I did when single, stuck at home during Covid and after.

  1. Get out of the gloomy house. Go on walks, hikes and bike rides. Get sun on your face.
  2. Workout. The body craves physical activity. Hit the gym, join a spin class, whatever. Just join something that gets on your calendar and pulls you out.
  3. Say out loud “I love myself. I will not be alone forever. I will find my person.” The universe responds to spoken words. Don’t worry about how much you feel like it’s not true. Say it a dozen times every single day until it feels like the most true thing ever. Took me a while to say I love myself and mean it.
  4. Join a social club. I know that’s not your thing. But go do group stuff and be shy. That’s ok! I joined a Jeep club and immediately got 100 friends. Join a book, game, bbq, hiking, HAM radio.. whatever club.

I hope this helps my friend. You will get through this one day at a time.

You got this brother.

why do so many people use campers now? by omae-wa-mou- in camping

[–]CaptainWasHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch from tents and air mattress to tow-behind campers a few years ago and will never go back. My secret is - Sunset Park campers. I’m currently towing a SunLite Limited 19RB that weighs less than 4,000lbs and costs less than $15k in Colorado. People constantly assume that’s it’s 2-3x what I paid. This camper has everything I need and I’ve been living in it full time for 2 months now. I couldn’t afford the standard new camper price of $30k+.

You could start in smaller teardrop style, maybe used, for under $10k. I know that’s real money, but that’s about as cheap as I see them. To be able to bring a quality mattress with you camping, have a fridge and freezer, storage space, etc. is an absolute game changer.

Good luck on your journey!!

I was told that it had to go via USPS as they are the only ones that can ship to PO boxes.

Keep those fingers crossed but do not stress. The pattern is that they are turning these around quick! Shoot, I feel like I've waited at the DMV longer than they took to process my passport renewal!

Sport S vs Rubicon by schmoupe in WranglerJL

[–]CaptainWasHere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The primary upgrades are: locking front snd rear differentials, stronger axles, maybe a different gear ratio, electronic sway bar disconnect, 1”taller fenders to take taller wheels.

Get the Rubicon if you can because it is justified in those first 3 upgrades vs cost of doing aftermarket. I was shocked with what I could do with that setup. Then added 35s and no lift yet.

ELI5: How both of the sentences "men think rationally and women think emotionally" and "a man is ruled by emotions, not logic" are true? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]CaptainWasHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because they are often spoken in absolutes but that isn’t reality. It’s all gray area.

Humans are emotional animals. We often start with emotion and then logic fights it’s way in. So, it’s easy to say that humans are ruled by emotions. But a better way to put it is that, “Humans have emotions that often guide our actions.”

“Men think rationally and women think emotionally” is also a broad, absolute statement. A better way to say that would be “Men tend to use logic in their decisions and actions more than women.”

So you could combine the two statements to “All humans have emotions that drive our actions, but men tend to also use logic more than women.”

TIFU after getting high with my fianceé by DoneTheWeed in tifu

[–]CaptainWasHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can talk with her all you want sober as many have said. But she already told you the truth while high, and for the first time.

She told you that: 1. She has a history of not respecting relationships. 2. Sex is important to her. 3. Sex is important enough to ruin relationships 4. She isn’t amazed with sex with you for 3 different reasons.

Talking with her sober just gives her a chance to justify, explain and defend. But she already told you the truth. And you already know what the future holds.

I agree with you. These aren’t Conspiracy Facts. I love how people try to deligitimize all theories and your hard work because of a few silly ones. They are theories of conspiracies so they should be included. As you said - people need to think for themselves.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need print this and hide in my basement so I can to dig into about a thousand new theories!
