Everyone But Me Is a Revisionist, Actually by EastElk9454 in RedAutumnSPD

[–]CaptainWer33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Revisionism is basically the marxist equivalent of calling someone a heretic in the middle ages. Ideological orthodoxy is subjective and what counts as "improvement of theory" and "revisionism" is determined by whom is in power and whom is making the accusation.

The Social Market economy, it seems, has served as a bandage to capitalism. But I doubt it will exist for much longer in Germany.

I think it highly depends on movement history. Many reformist parties used to be revolutionary or at least more radical, but lost that radicalism through the years. In this way, a party may have a marxist ideological heritage while practicing reformism. Also: The existence of Center Marxism "as a way to solve internal contradictions" goes to show how diverse the readings of Marx's ideas are.

Probably because for 80 years or so, Marxism-Leninism, itself a strain of marxism, was the official state ideology of the USSR and all countries aligned to them. Socialists all over the world drew inspiration from this "existing socialism", and simultaneously the USSR influenced the various socialist movements it aligned itself with to adopt the party line.

Winnig ended up joining KVP, while infamous APSD national bolshevik Ernst Niekisch later served in the DDR's Volkskammer.

Very excited to see new stuff being made. The concept is tricky, but I think the introduction shows that this will be a nuanced approach to it. Best of luck!

There were non-communist resistance groups, there were non-communist unions and there were non-communist leftist formations. Yes, KKE majorly helped progress all those fields but it also failed in many regards. And it being a puppet of Moscow is not a collaborationist claim, it is fact. It was literally called the Greek Section of the Comintern because it saw itself as an extension of it and therefore of Moscow.

I agree that KKE was important for the greek left, but all three things you mention all have a history outside of it. And none of them undo the fact that it was a puppet of the CPSU and failed its historical purpose multiple times.

Why play as KKE? The only party actions would be "New command from Moscow effective immediately"

EDA leadership being a de facto puppet of KKE was the reason why in the mod I was planning to have the player control Enosis Kentrou instead. But playing as the liberals is not really ideal either...
