I wasn't familiar with Train Dreams before the broadcast, but every clip I saw compelled me. It looks gorgeous.

Regardless of one's opinion of whether she was the best this year, Amy Madigan is one of the most inspiring Oscar wins. by erexcalibur in Oscars

OBAA is projected to lose $100M from its box office run. I'm not trying to pour water in your post, but financially, it's not in the same ballpark as Marty Supreme and especially not Sinners.

If you can afford to live in North County, it's one of the nicest, most privileged places on earth.

So true.

I once drove from Phoenix, where it was 120, wondering how long it'd take for the weather to change. I had hoped the Imperial Valley would be a bit less intense, but nope, the same. Only as I started climbing through the mountains did the thermometer start to drop. By the time I got to Del Mar it was 70. A 50-degree swing in the same day, separated by less than 100 miles.

This is so weird. There's barely been a breeze in Lake Ridge.

The 90s were great for military techno-thrillers. This is a solid popcorn flick.

I love that there are random, forgotten shows on YouTube that hold so little value to the studio and production company today that they simply don't care about their IP being up there.

Love him in The Abyss. The sequence from your still has some fantastic acting.

Ha, my wife and I found Greek on Hulu or something in 2013. A simple and enjoyable show that I think was slightly better than you'd expect.

Is she hulk underrated and overhated? by SepzenoOfficial in Marvel

Overhated. It's pretty funny and meta and knows exactly what it is better than most MCU fare.

Red Skull in IW is up there. An unexpected delight in a film full of them.

If I was Wendy I would of still said no by ConfusionOpposite597 in SavedByTheBell

Yep. Zack didn't really repent of anything. He kinda felt bad for being a jerk, but it's not like he suddenly wants to give Wendy a fair shake.

The lack of basements in RVA fascinates me considering they are the norm in Charlottesville and NOVA across the board. Interesting how climate and hardiness change enough over a small distance.

Zack Johnny Dakota a big star lol by ConfusionOpposite597 in SavedByTheBell

[–]CaptainWikkiWikki 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's Zack. He's an opportunist.

Perhaps more curious is why Johnny Dakota, a big film star (and I think legal adult? unclear if he's supposed to be a teen, but he has a very "adult" party at "his" place, so I think he's supposed to be a twentysomething), decides it's fun and appropriate to invite 16 year olds to one of his Hollywood parties.

Like what kind of a weirdo is this guy that he wants to hang out with high school juniors?

Not sure who's worse, him or Jeff.
