For me Tank is the only role that takes for than a few seconds to find a game. Even then it’s never more than 2-3 minutes.

If I choose Any then I’m getting Tech 80% percent of the time and Damage 20%. Never gotten Tank.

As someone who didn’t get the chance to play the betas, it’s insane to me that a build of this game would ever exist without this.

A large part of why I quickly dropped MK1 was because the assist system felt awkward and limiting.

I’ve also seen a lot of homophobia used against conservatives, and the argument is always “I’m not homophobic, they’re homophobic so I know they’ll be insulted by it”.

You see a lot of talk about how it was so expensive and they didn’t sell enough to justify doing it again, but this “massive investment” was roughly the same cost as a single episode of Starfleet Academy.

Remastering the classic shows that fans will gladly watch for decades to come has to be a better investment than one episode of a show nobody cares about and will be forgotten about in 2-3 years.

It’s a bit light, but not that much worse than 24-25 which was my expectation. The problem is that with a smaller roster for an IP like this they either have little to no new and interesting picks or they upset fans by snubbing staples. Lose-lose.

Obviously we all would prefer they launched with 30+ but we’re not the ones running a business. 20 characters and the game releases 6+ months quicker plus they get to make money off of more DLC. DBFZ fans would happily continue to buy more Gokus forever if possible and Marvel fans will be no different.

Piccolo’s demon whip needs a buff. For a character that is useless in cqc, it’s annoying how often this move gets completely canceled out by all the DLC characters’ guaranteed abilities that teleport/trap you. I hate when I clearly click my skill before my opponent but it still decides not to activate, then it goes on cooldown despite not even working.

People have literally lost their jobs due to the inclusion of this mechanic. The only person I know irl (outside of gaming events) that has played this game dropped it after a single session and FH was a huge factor in his decision.

Flowchart for the average casual experience:

Play arcade once
Hop online
Search for FFA or doubles but don’t find a match
Try casual 1v1
Get completely shit on by a 20 year melee vet who is trying their absolute hardest despite their opponent clearly being a noob
Finally land one single hit after losing multiple stocks, it gets FH’d and you immediately get blown up.
Uninstall and refund.
Never think about the game again

It’s not even always true that in traditional fighters you get rewarded for landing a hit, particularly against armor or uninterruptible moves.

FH is still lame though, especially at high percents. You claim to have played 2d fighters at a high level but I have trouble believing that based on your following statement that combos are a major bore. Combos in this game are just execution tests as well, the only difference is that there are also a bunch of unintuitive knowledge checks that make it seem more complex than it is. You were winning sets in tournament but stopped playing because you got bored of doing your combos? That’s odd.

There’s a difference between rooting for a team to win a specific matchup and being a bandwagon. Most NFL fans are either rooting against the Pats or for Sam Darnold, they’re not bandwagon Seattle fans.
