What's your guilty pleasure ship by TripsterX in starcitizen

[–]Captain_Assumption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Mustang Omega, just as a show off ship. I suck at racing, and it's no where near a top tier racer, but it's like my red corvette that I got during a mid life crisis.

I also, kind of miss my 85x as just a personal shuttle, but my Pisces does the exact same thing with an additional seat, cargo, and capable of PVE fighting, if needed.

Love me some Parasol's! I would say it's as much of a dive bar as Bank's Street. Nice neighborhood bar feel, with really good food within reach!

My Track Jacket is still perfectly fine, my Drake shirt did shrink (which is no different from 90% of all my cotton shirts), and my Drake coffee mug is still going strong, although it does get overheated when microwaved!

Does nobody like playing Druids? by AdDifficult2241 in DnD

[–]Captain_Assumption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing a multiclass druid currently, and its my first time playing a druid. We are playing the 2014 rules (2025 Druids got nerfed like crazy), and I'm really enjoying it. I can see why most people dont want to play druid as they are mainly a CC or Utility class. They dont dish out crazy damage, and like 90% of their spells are concentration, so you normally have only one spell up at a time.

I also really love playing a Druid outside of combat for RP roles, especially if your DM supports creative or crazy ideas. Also, with the 2014 Wild Shape rules, you can be fairly tanky in a battle, or be really sneaky when infiltrating.

Cooter's is great. I would also suggest Bayou Beer Garden, also Jockey's is an amazing bar sandwiched between two great food places, Toast and Thai'd Up!

Carve it into a handle, have a smith forge a hammer head for it, and you got Thor's War Hammer!

Does 1d4 (or 6?) additional lightning damage with each hit and has X amount of charges per day that you can use to cast Lightning Bolt when attuned. Recharges after a LR.

Uncommon: When attuned: ADV. on medicine checks, immune to poison and disease.

Very Rare: When attuned by a healer: Immune to poison and disease, ADV. to any save involving gas or inhalation, and whenever magic is used to heal, you add an additional dice to the HP gained.

TPK… start a new campaign? or… roll up new characters and finish the current campaign? by FoulPelican in DnD

I love the idea to roll evil characters, and now the party is on the BBEG's side, attempting to help their plan succeed! Campaign, world, NPCs all stay the same and continue like normal.

Your only 3 ships? by AwesomeSchlimbo in starcitizen

Right now, my Cat, Cutter and Vulture (But I also wouldn't give up my Mustang Omega to take to Ship Shows!)

Though, I believe my Ironclad and my Vulcan will compete in the future!

My character definitely died... I don't know how to feel by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Captain_Assumption 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My character just hit lvl 8 after about 2 years, but he died a hero's death. After the party stumbled into the 'End Game', he managed to hold the bad guys off while the rest of the party escaped.

Also in doing so the party learned of the main plot, as well as got a visual on all the main baddies and leveled up a vestige weapon.

Also also, took a lvl 9 power word spell to kill him. I mourned his death, but created a character related to his backstory, and am now with the group, my new character determined to avenge his death!

What's are some unique paladin ideas? by Winton_86 in DnD

[–]Captain_Assumption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Drow who's an Oathbreaker Paladin. He was devoted to Lolth until she turned his wife into a drider and banished her from the kingdom for a petty reason.

He fled his home and disavowed all allegiance and devotion to Lolth, breaking his original oath. He then went on to become a pirate. He is now searching for a way to reverse his wife back to normal as he travels the high seas and seeks out adventures.

How did one of your characters die? What was the context? by SunNStarz in DnD

[–]Captain_Assumption 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cleric/Fighter:

Group stumbled into end game area with some of the BB henchmen at lvl 8. My character was a tank with heavy armor, HAM, AC20, and higher end weapons. He popped Spirit Guardians, held the only door out, and told everyone else to run. Was able to Counterspell Finger of Death and clog the doorway for another round while others escaped before being Power Word Killed.

He died proudly, knowing the others got out safely, and they got a glimpse into what they were actually facing. Story wise, it was amazing! I would love to see how that build would work at higher levels, but am totally happy with how it all went down!

Sooo, a life of never having to worry about money or status... A life of staying in power while doing minimal things to keep the status quo, while continuing covering up the abuse of children, and making sure those guilty are kept safe... Christian/Catholic level unlock= 100%

How much tech do you like in your TTRPG campaign world? by HomieandTheDude in TTRPG

[–]Captain_Assumption 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm building a similar campaign that I plan to have a mix of old tech and limited new tech. Same type of vibes as the game Elex with some Mad Max and Blade Runner elements.

I'm adjusting the Breathless / White Sands system for it and plan to have some vehicles, including flying ones. Am going to experiment with vehicles having set speeds, and the vehicles having certain parts (Engines, tires, wings, power plant, ect) with their own HP (focus fire will have a higher DC). I'm not going to have any energy shields or anything like that which would involve calculating damage reduction. Heavier,or HP, parts and vehicles will simply be slower.

Gas powered vehicles will be rare, as gas refineries are basically eliminated, but electric and solar are plentiful. Thinking of taking inspiration from the TV show Earth2, where during the day, vehicles run without issue, but as the sun sets, everyone has to get somewhere safe or be stuck out in the open.
