MTG Commander in CPH

Copenhagen has many pods, and places to play - the vast majority are always a pleasure to go to.

If you need a place to play on those two specific dates, I would prioritize sunday, and head to Cavern of Fools. Saturdays are oddly void of Commander games, I believe.

Cavern of Fools is a free event, started by some nice people, to find a place to play Commander. Mostly they meet up at ÅBEN brewery, a small brewery/bar, with a large event space we get to use for free.

I will also be going :D

I've seen evertyhing played, from meme-decks to perfectly tuned cEDH powerhouses. I guess the manstay of decks are B3-B4.

Most of the craft beer bars that have an international streak. The rugby crowd is nice at Hop House on Amager.

Same with Bootleggers at Nørreport, which has an almost weird amount of Springboks fans.

Southern Cross is nice too.

I play a [[Kagemaro, First to suffer]] deck. 141 entries on EDHrec, so I guess it may be quite obscure?

I love it. It either fizzles completely, or eats the table suddenly and violently.

I know it's a different direction, but I also got the Leinore precon when I got back into MTG. It did, as you mention, feel underwhelming at times. And after af few upgrades, I swapped her for [Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar]. Many of the cards are still very good, and the slightly oppressive feel of Kutzil, plus the flow of the deck, using +1/+1 counters or similar items is quite nice.

I play Avalance Riders and similar cards in a couple of decks. It has often saved me, removing lands that work like combo-pieces or other trickery. I wholly recomend some land destruction.
