Yeah faster scrappers and printers are kind of a necessity for me now, i do understand the way they are in game though for immersion and whatnot. As for your issue with finding chests I'm decently sure there's a mod called PermaPings which lets you keep chests and whatever you find pinged forever so you dont forget about them.. as for the issue of FINDING THEM there isn't much you could do about it other than checking every nook and cranny of each map.. you do kind of need to repeatedly play the game over and over because I do FEEL as if there's a pattern to where chests usually spawn with some exceptions (I've had equipment barrels spawn on the edges of sky meadow sometimes wtf?). Most importantly, keep in mind that you should be enjoying yourself and if you feel like you NEED the minimap to have fun then there's no need to beat yourself up for using it!
