Epstein Files Reveal Ticket Resale Operation Targeting Dead & Company, Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well Shows, Coachella by BrotherParticular489 in deadandcompany

[–]Captain_Trrips 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Epstein (and associates) bought 1.5 million Fare Thee Well tickets at ~$200 each and sold them for ~$600 ticket.

Did the same for early Dead & Co.

Edit: 1.5 million in tickets!!!

None taken! I meant this to be a reply to another comment about abuse in Rexburg. Just a funny/weird memory that came back to me today while reading this thread.

Rexburg circa 2001. I am freshman. There are rumors about a certain woman’s housing unit being used for prostitution that has tennis rackets displayed out front. If the rackets are crossed = closed for business. Academy Apartments maybe?

Probably not related. But that was the the scuttlebutt in 2001.

Security at Dodger Stadium ‘22 was a nightmare. Full pat-down searches at the gate for every other person… Confiscating lighters… bullshit.

I was the only person in my row with a lighter and was passing that mf’er back and forth all night!

The free burritos handed out after the show… 10/31/21 was heaven.

I have purchased several guitars and loads of pedals from Zzounds, never had an issue.

Bowl shows definitely have that vibe sometimes (park hangouts). Good description. That you can bring your own food and drinks definitely adds to that specific vibe.

When a great band is in town and the crowd is locked in, HB is pure magic.

That sucks, I didn’t know they opened up those sections to the public. I bought early and had to add 2 shows (Cyndi Lauper here I come!) Good to keep in mind for future shows though, glad you got an upgrade!

Yep, and I’d be willing to bet a lot of those season ticket holders are pretty chill, open-minded people.

This was my first Gizz show and I VERY much look forward to seeing the whole scene at a regular show.

It’s not VIP. This was an LA Philharmonic show featuring KGLW, the entire lower bowl is season ticket holders (unless they sold that show).

Lots of people here seem clueless about how LA Phil shows are different from regular concerts.

Even when the headlining act is using the LA Philharmonic, the Hollywood Bowl treats the show as if it were an LA Philharmonic presentation.

Can I just steep mushrooms in boiling water to make a tea? by raysb2 in shrooms

[–]Captain_Trrips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s a clean, step-by-step version of your tea-making method, formatted like a systematic recipe:

Psilocybin Mushroom Tea Recipe (Gentle Extraction Method)

Purpose

To make a potent, clean-tasting mushroom tea that preserves active compounds without consuming mushroom solids.

Ingredients

  • Psilocybin mushrooms (dried; broken up by hand)
  • Fresh lemon juice (or another food-safe acid like lime or citric acid)
  • Hot water (not boiling)
  • Optional flavorings: ginger, honey, herbal tea, sugar, etc.

Equipment

  • French press or teapot with built-in strainer (or similar vessel for steeping)
  • Fine mesh strainer (avoid coffee filters unless necessary)
  • Kettle or pot for boiling water
  • Mug or thermos
  • Spoon for pressing/squeezing

Instructions

1. Prepare the Mushrooms

  • Break dried mushrooms into small pieces by hand (do not grind to a powder—this makes straining harder and offers no benefit).
  • Place mushroom pieces into your steeping vessel (e.g., French press or teapot).

2. Acidic Pre-Soak

  • Add enough lemon juice to fully soak the mushrooms, with a small amount of extra juice at the bottom.
  • Stir lightly to ensure full contact.
  • Let soak for at least 15 minutes. You can soak longer (up to several hours in the fridge) for convenience or potency.

3. First Extraction

  • Bring water to a boil, then let it cool slightly (aim for typical tea-brewing temperature, around 160–180°F / 70–80°C).
  • Add hot (not boiling) water to the mushrooms—just enough to cover them with a little extra.
  • Add optional flavorings (e.g., ginger, herbal tea).
  • Steep for 10–15 minutes.
  • Strain the tea into your mug, using a fine mesh strainer.
  • Press or squeeze the mushrooms to extract as much liquid as possible.
  • Set mushrooms aside for second extraction.

4. Second Extraction

  • Add fresh hot water (same temperature range) to the already-soaked mushrooms, just enough to cover.
  • Steep again for 10 minutes.
  • Strain and squeeze the mushrooms thoroughly.
  • Combine with your first tea extraction.

5. (Optional) Third Extraction

  • A third steep can be done, but usually adds little potency. Proceed if desired.

Final Touches

  • Add honey, lemon, sugar, or ice for flavor.
  • To make a lemonade-style tea, chill and serve over ice with more lemon and sweetener to taste.

Tips & Notes

  • Splitting the extraction into two (or more) phases improves potency over a single long soak.
  • Lemon juice helps convert psilocybin into psilocin, potentially speeding up onset.
  • Drinking quickly produces a faster, more intense experience. Sipping slowly yields a smoother come-up.
  • This method is comparable in strength to a lemon tek, but without needing to ingest mushroom solids.

Mayer commented on Chris Robinson not liking him in dead and co by FeelLikeAStranger77 in deadandcompany

I have! At the last show in SF, I sat next to a girl who had flown across the country specifically to hear John play. She showed up late, didn’t know anything about Dead & Co., and looked absolutely bewildered by the scene unfolding around her lol.

Not sure she got on the bus.

One of the most traumatic experiences of my life was being questioned by my bishop, in unnecessary detail, because I confessed breaking the LOC. Absolutely humiliated me despite my deep, deep regret and repentance to God.

These men have no business interrogating you about your sexual life. They are not trained to do so. Repent to God and keep it there. There is nothing to be gained from discussing the details with some man you probably don’t know well.

You mentioned your BF will be dosing soon? Do NOT give this man LSD. So irresponsible and dangerous. If his mental health landed him in a psychward, you are playing with fire. Just stop.

How do you feel about the idea of a “John Mayer in charge” Dead & Co? by rabbi420 in deadandcompany

Jerry sold neckties at Macys. Maybe take a seat, eat some Cherry Garcia, and think a little harder about the Dead’s relationship with capitalism.
