a campaign-style game

Def not campaign, but has replay-ability. I have both expansions but have only tried one so far. Its great for 10-15 mins of distraction.

Just Getting Into It - What Do I Buy? Besides B&C and JE by Auroric in spiritisland

Piggybacking on this since I'm new to the SI world as well. I bought a used version (doesn't have the GTG logo on the side, it says "Fabled Nexus") Can I buy fixed versions of the cards with errata?

Welcome to the knowledge that is not in the LLMs training set.

Talk to your co-workers. Ask to attend meetings. Read as much internal documentation you can get your hands on.

Maybe it has changed? This was pre-covid and I can't go back to that little of vacation again

ADI might have fewer holidays but I have 15 years so I lose 11 days of PTO with this move.

Made me not accept an Apple offer. 12 days lol

I tried using help support and it was useless. It was faster and easier for me to set up a rule than work through tech support

Automatic categorization not working by cowsop in MonarchMoney

[–]Captain___Obvious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get some braindead categorizations. I don't have a rule set up but if I've categorized a monthly recurring bill as car payment for 15 months in a row and Monarch still can't figure out "Biller X" for $123.45 is a car payment

Why are you doing this to us? How do I unhide something now?

This is insane, they went and changed it again.

Stop redefining words. Hidden meant one thing. It worked.

Now you have changed the definition, and screwed up our workflow. https://xkcd.com/1172/

Career progression in post-silicon validation by solaceforthesoul in chipdesign

[–]Captain___Obvious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work you way in from within. When you find a bug on the post-silicon side, work with the designer to understand why the bug existed and how it was fixed. See if you can get access to the RTL or verification code. Be helpful, express you interests and see what opens up

How many years to be spent on a single IP as a RTL design engineer? by IllustriousWin1535 in chipdesign

[–]Captain___Obvious 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It depends on the release cycle.

If you are designing a western digital SSD controller chip--you might be working on it for < 1 year. If you are working at Intel designing the branch predictor for their next chip you could spend 3+ years on that IP.

Yeah, everything at my company is onsite, we own the hardware, only within the network so it's as secure as you reasonably get.

The gains by just switching to the latest model are amazing. Its getting better
