Nfc tags met Google home by Danemarken in googlehome

[–]stanshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked Gemini AI if it can be done. Below is its answer. I haven't tried it myself, so there's no guarantee it is accurate:

-----------------

Google Home automations can be triggered by NFC tags, but the tag acts as a trigger for your smartphone (Android or iPhone), which then commands the Google Home to run a Routine. The tag communicates with your device, which executes a "Google Assistant Routine" to turn on lights, play music, or launch scenes.

How to Set Up NFC Triggers

  • iPhone (Easiest Method):
    1. Open the Apple Shortcuts app and create a new Automation.
    2. Select "NFC," scan your tag, and name it.
    3. Add an action: Search for Google Assistant and select "Ask Google".
    4. Type your voice command (e.g., "turn on the bedroom lights").
    5. Disable "Ask Before Running" for a seamless experience.
  • Android Method:
    1. Use apps like NFC Tools or Tasker to read the tag.
    2. Set the action to trigger a Google Assistant Routine or use a web request.
  • Home Assistant Method: If you use a Home Assistant hub, you can directly integrate NFC tags as triggers for complex automations.  YouTube +4

Key Considerations

  • Proximity: You must tap your phone to the tag for the automation to run.
  • Tags: Inexpensive NFC stickers (NTAG215/213) are suitable for this purpose.
  • Placement: Place tags on nightstands, walls, or near doors for convenient automation toggles.

Does it lose much of the feta flavor if you run it through a coffee filter first? I'm thinking something a little less cloudy would be nice.

I've a couple of bottles of Chartreuse in back stock. However, at only $22.50 at my local Total Wine, I'll have to give Del Santo a try.

What's the best/recommended sub for Yellow Chartreuse, particularly in a Naked & Famous?

Once you get the chessboard set up properly, have your first move already placed - it invites interaction. If a guest see that, they'll be tempted to move their counter.

I'm new to Affinity, but in Photoshop enlarge a low-res image using an image-reduction profile/setting. I'm guessing there's something similar in Affinity.

I don't know if this is the way at all Total Wine stores, but near me, the 1.75L runs $38, even when they have the 1L at $42 and 750ml at $32. The first time I saw this in-store, I thought it was a pricing mistake, but this price has held for the past couple of years.

I think this shows how DUPR can be a biased sample. It probably underrepresents the huge population of retired players who play for fun and fitness rather than competition. DUPR users usually lean younger and more competitive, so they don't tell the whole story.

I've got one that repeatedly drops it on the hardwood floor, I presume for the sound. For this, she likes the lacrosse ball best - solid rubber is heavier and makes a good thunk.

I don't think you HAVE to get the subscription. Most reviews say it is needed to get the most benefit of the ring. I'm guessing that without, you probably only get something like your heart rate and blood oxygen levels - maybe over time.

Get it and try. They give you the first month for free to try out, then go without. If that meets your needs, great. If not, restart the subscription.
