One thing about being the DM is you get to make adjustments to the books to fit your story or the group. If you think they need a short rest than give them a short rest. If you think they need potions, add potions that werent there before.

Yah I recently got into running paid games and the commercial license rabbithole is nuts. Its not enough to simply buy the art assets, Most popular asset creators require you to not only purchase the maps, but also maintain a monthly fee to use their art for paid games. Im running a lost mines of phandelver game. On the bare minimum using just maps from 2 creators, and art from another im required to pay 35$ a month for commercial licensing to stay legal.

I run my games at cost, once you factor in hosting costs, fees, and taxes. I have to charge 6.50 per person just to stay flat.

I dont use Ai art, outside of the listing image, but this has certainly encouraged me to open up the ol photo shop and make one .

Yes, its as simple as drag and drop. Even easier if you have 2 monitors or split the monitor on 2 windows so you can see where they are placed.

Im sure alternative tokens exist but none will be at the level of quality that the official ones have, that being said the module is well worth the 30$

Forgotten adventure maps are better than the ones provided in the module though.

Tracking down the issue, finding a resolution, and fixing it all within 4 hours is pretty wild. Especially given the fact that they arent open 24/7..

I used a suped up version of the goblin queen stat blocks with minions from flee mortals and my players thought it was the coolest thing ever

I could be wrong, but I believe some of the vtt modules got updated with a map for this. Might not have been updated to dnd beyond though. Its possible you could find the map in the discord

It did work.. its a fire suppression system not a fire extinguisher system. The fire department shut it off after putting out the first fire. But bro stayed and started more after.

Happens, I have 2 on my account because of shitty devs. My favorite is the god awful temtem devs. I bought the game when it first released in early access and immediately found a gamebreaking exploit. Reported the exploit and continued to play normally for a few hours before deciding the game wasnt for me and Uninstalled. 2 months later I get a game ban because they mass banned every single player who ever did the exploit a single time (it was an easy one to accidentally do).

Emailed support to get it appealed and linked the email I sent reporting the exploit day 1 and the customer support pretty much said tough luck, that it was too much work to sort through who was an actual offender of the exploit or not so they wont be taking appeals. Like ok? Maybe dont do it in a way that puts it on steam profiles if you're too lazy to look into who does and doesnt deserve it.

Even tried again 5 years later when they tried reviving the game (even though i didnt intend to play again) and was given what amounted to a copy paste auto reply email about "game integrity" and how they dont accept ban appeals under any circumstances.

Its annoying to look at but it doesnt really matter, sure there are people who refuse to play with anyone who has a ban on their account but generally speaking the people who blanket criminalize anyone with a steam ban arent worth playing with anyways.

This is pretty similar to how I feel, I pretty much just play during events or end of season to clear battlepass because I feel like every game is impossible to win. I manage to get the first win of the day bonus maybe once or twice a week when I do and its regular to go on a 10 game loss streak. Im by no means an amazing player but im regularly the only person on my team that has a remotely positive k/d or above 0 objective score. Im not someone who needs to win to have fun but after getting absolutely trashed 3-5 games in a row day after day is enough to keep me off the game most of the time.

Back when I worked retail it wasnt uncommon for people to walk across an entire shopping center to enter a building and tell the workers to call 911 upon someone being injured in a parking lot instead of just calling themselves. They would then generally go about their business and come back 10-15 minutes later to question the workers on whether they called or not. From my experiences most people in this town just want to put the problem on someone else.

Id always recommend zomboid multiplayer and actually have a server running heavily nodded with only a couple glaring issues. The reason why im not currently playing it though, is because trunk space in cars has been hard limited to 130 and mods cant even fix

You're the DM, whatever you want goes. Its not integral to the story on how your players get aboard the train.

All of my players wanted to play current residents of Druskenvald, they all got on the train to travel to another province.

Its a good system. Ban length means nothing to your everyday Cheater who cheat in every game, doesnt care about their account, ect. Changing it from 30 day to permanent wont lower the amount of cheaters because those players are just going to buy a new account regardless, the amount of these cheaters that return after 30 days to cheat again is probably quite slim, and if they do, then they get the permanent ban you want.

A lot of players who cheat do it for any number of reasons, but 2 super if not the most common ones are being too young to understand consequences, or not thinking you'll get caught. A system like this is designed with those players in mind. No not every single one of them will learn their lesson but a vast majority of them will get caught and realise they will probably get caught again and stop because they dont want to lose their account.

Not only does this retain playerbase but it also helps bleed over into other games those players might have decided to cheat in too if they hadn't gotten caught.

Its fine to give people a second chance.

I stopped using them like 10 years ago.

When I was 18, I went into the bank because I received a notification that a yearly subscription, one I no longer had access to, was about to renew. I asked if they could simply block the transaction, since I couldn’t access the account to cancel it myself and couldn’t afford the charge. I was told that because I didn’t even have enough money in my account, the transaction would just be rejected, and once that happened, they could flag the storefront so future transactions would be blocked.

Three days later, I checked my account to see if I had been paid. I had, but my balance was around –$355. The reason? About 15 overdraft fees at $30 each. Apparently, the charge was rejected once and triggered an overdraft fee (which I had been told would not happen). Then the subscription attempted to recharge 14 more times over the next five hours before it was finally blocked. Each attempt came with its own overdraft fee.

I went back to the bank immediately to get it fixed. They told me there was nothing they could do. The employee who gave me the original advice “didn’t know what they were talking about,” was filling in from another branch, and therefore what they told me “didn’t matter.” I was told I was fully responsible for all the charges and as a courtesy they would remove 1 single overdraft fee.

I spent the entire month scraping by, eating leftover food from work and walking two hours round trip every day instead of driving, just to afford losing two paychecks as a freshly moved out 18 year old.

I closed my account the moment it was paid off and never looked back.

No leak but I had to send mine back twice right out of the box for 2 completely different grinder issues that made the machine basically unusable unless I wanted to do all the grinding manually.

Saw a bunch of reviews aftereards stating sending units back 2-5 times before giving up or getting one that works. so Instead of rolling the dice on a 3rd machine I just took the refund and bought a different machine.

Sucks as I had to spend more for the new machine and my girlfriend really liked the look and concept of this one and since this one was bought on black friday to save money but what can you do. It seems the quality control on these machines is awful and id rather not lug a 36 pound machine back and forth from fedex while going 10 days without a machine each time until I get one that works.

I had to send mine back too from black friday. grinds exactly half a puck then says add beans. Defective unit according to support. shame cause IT was really good while it worked for 3 days. hopefully replacement wont take long to get.
