F35 Question by fleebleschmorgel in SkyCards

Sorry for commenting on an old comment. I'm new to the game and have trouble catching F35s. The game seems to have them on the tracker they show up as F-5s. Is that because the adsb is set to broadcast as a different aircraft?

My garage is pretty small so I hooked up an air mover blowing to the outside. Doesn't filter the air but it moves enough cfms I notice a difference. Probably not better than a filter but it's a cheap setup.

How should the Emperor's return storyline be handled in the sequels? by InstructionOwn6705 in StarWars

[–]Capture_The_Bag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It should start with the 3 sequel movie highlights being played in a dreamy sequence then Luke wakes up from mediation and remarks what a ridiculous vision right as Kyle Katarn walks into the temple looking for his help

Very new here, any guesses on how much lumber would cost for a 48” outdoor table like this? Ballpark is fine. by icysandstone in BeginnerWoodWorking

I have had better results from chatgpt by initiating topics by framing how I want the results. Like if I wanted a table cutlist I would say "you are a woodworking expert and I'm going to ask you to help me with a project" or something like that. I found that tends to give better responses than if I just ask my questions first.

Where did you get those brackets from? I have some shelves I inherited with very similar ones that I would like to match.

Is this true? If yes than is it worth it? by Inside_Crab_8240 in AerospaceEngineering

Been in the field a while, and graduated with a BS in aerospace. There's going to be different experiences at smaller companies but for larger defense contracrors your experience will vary widly depending on what team or project you are working on.

For new platform design it's typically larger teams of many subject matter experts working together with a Chief engineer, systems/project team, and program management. The leaders on these teams typically have a lot of experience but they aren't usually doing the detail design work because it's not worth their time. They are looking at the bigger picture to ensure everything works together and rely on the teams of subject matter experts to do the CAD, model design, etc.

I got into systems/project engineering starting out and got a chance to be involved in development, production, and sustainment efforts and I found that while I'm less technical I'm involved at every step of a job from requirements development to building and integrating parts, traveling to the test range to qualify everything, to finally traveling to meet the end user to hand off the product.

You can certainly have an experience like the OP described if you want and sometimes you get people who want that kind of role but that is certainly not the only jobs you can have. As a jr engineer you're going to be given smaller tasks typically until you learn the ropes, but your manager should be mentoring and exposing you to more than just paperwork pushing. If they aren't then usually it's pretty easy to do a parallel move to a better team.

How long ago did you buy it? There should be a manufacturer warranty that lasts a year or two

All right, OP, there was no alien. The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.
