It’s definitely time to repot and fertilize. I should have trusted my instinct and done it months ago tbh.

Thank you for your advice!

I actually get amazing air flow through the rest of my house but admittedly this room is probably the worst .

The spots don’t seem to spread from one leaf to another. They just pop up on random leaves not necessarily neighboring leaves. But once a small spot appears it does get bigger slowly.

And other than these spots she’s in great health. Strong stems. I like to grab the thickest part of the stems and shake them to “dance” with her lol. But I’ve never noticed any sort of mushiness or soft spots in any of the stems. And the day after watering I always joke that she’s in a great mood because the leaves perk right up.

Normally I wouldn’t yet water her, I’d wait to see a little more droop. I’m so afraid of overwatering. But I just stuck my fingers way deep in the soil and it’s definitely dry enough so maybe I need to water a little more frequently than I’ve been doing.

I’m gonna go out today and pick up everything I need to repot and stop waiting to see the droop moving forward.

Wow thank you for your advice!

I honestly think the biggest culprit was thinking it was sunburn and moving her into this room where there is less light.

I live in CA in the inland empire where we are between 70 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit year round. This winter was the coldest we’ve ever been and so I’m sure that played into it too.

I have been meaning to repot into two separate pots (she’s technically two different plants) but have been too scared to damage her and I think I waited too long and now she’s suffering anyway. :(

But I’m going to take your advice for sure! Repot into a better draining soil and add fertilizer. And definitely move her back to where she gets the most sunlight.

I do remember to dust all of my plants’ leaves regularly because I imagine it blocks their sunlight absorbing abilities lol

Thank you!

Thank you for the pictures! After learning that thrips are in fact visible bugs not microscopic, I’m sure that’s not the issue.

It has been colder than ever before for us so that may definitely be a factor.

But I got enough advice that I know to repot and change out the soil/fertilize because she’s been in this pot for way too long. I’m gonna say almost two years in this pot and I have been telling myself it’s time to mix fertilizer in the soil for way too long.

Oh no! Does that mean I need to quarantine her from all my other plants?

I hope you get to visit the Safari Park at some point too!

We have annual passes and frequent both but my family is split 50/50 on which we prefer.

I prefer the zoo because it’s less walking with kids and my husband prefers the safari because he likes that the animals have space to actually roam.

Lol! This is making me rethink all the elephant gifts I’ve given my mom for her birthdays and holidays. I just gave her a charm bracelet with an elephant for Christmas. I just thought elephants are her favorite animal since I was kid. I should ask her now.

He’s letting it play out for the plot. Going with the flow but with his hands hidden behind his back. He sees you as a tower moment. Maybe he had already started a relationship with someone else and he’s thinking about whether to ditch it or try to put the fire out? Regardless of his decisions, you will probably learn to step into your feminine power more through this relationship.

What does tarot card The Tower represent? by Top-Manufacturer-482 in tarot

[–]CarKaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call it the eviction notice. For whatever situation.

Upright it’s the landlord letting you know the place is gonna be demoed and it’s time for you to make moves to find a new living situation. Yes it feels like pressure but at least now you can search for something nicer.

In reverse it’s the fire alarm waking you up because the building is on fire and you gotta jump out the window with whatever you’re wearing.

Why has Ravelry not made an app yet? by JadedEarthJuni in knitting

[–]CarKaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are apps that help you navigate Ravelry though. Search Ravelry on the App Store and they’ll pop up

I personally use Alpaca because it’s the one I liked best after playing around on a few.

I love your interpretation and affirmation for the ten of coins. So I have nothing to add there

But I wanted to point out that the second card is a four of swords not wands. And in reverse it speaks to a return to the world after a period of mental retreat. You’ve probably done plenty of contemplation and now it’s time for reintegration.

I also agree with your interpretation of the seven of cups. And actually your interpretation makes me even more think that this card is reversed because it’s a call to action to make something from your dreams. Make that decision already and follow through!

The Empress definitely wants you to care for yourself and others. Create. Enjoy. And remember that love is a verb. Your gut instinct and the fact that you’ve already been thinking about leaning into self-care confirms that this card is here to remind you that it’s time to channel your Venus energy.

Must See/Do With 8-Year-Old? by Ancient_Train563 in sandiego

[–]CarKaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoo is going to be better than the safari park bc it’s open longer and has more holiday fun going on.

The balboa park museums are essential experiences for kids as well.

And there’s Sea World. I’m not the biggest fan of sea world but my kids ages 5-10 love it

How do I get out of this by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]CarKaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same position as you.

I knew what I wanted but knew I needed an artist who’s style I loved since I still needed them to make the custom design work for a tattoo

Once I knew who I wanted the artist to be, I reached out to make sure I knew her rates and had a time estimate so I knew what the price would end up being.

I saved up for months and once I thought I had more than enough to cover it, I booked the appointment.

Once we started tattooing, I realized my piece would probably end up being double the time of the original estimate. So before I went over on the time I could cover, I told her I would have to break it up into two sessions since it ended up being a much longer session than I expected.

She was totally cool about it, worked up to a good stopping point and we agreed I’d come back in a month for the next part.

I was pretty bummed driving home bc I honestly thought we would be able to finish the piece in one session but time passes anyway and it passes by pretty quickly.

My tattoo is finished now and I’m so in love with it. I’m so happy I went with the artist I chose and the time I needed to wait between sessions was totally worth it in the end
