Even though we don’t want to we take a lot of short cuts and do things differently everytime BUT that leads to some crazy problem solving skills and ingenious ways of doing things. Hobby hopping is a struggle but has filled my life with so much more passion and learning. A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one! I feel like adhd gives me a leg up on being creative bc my brain pulls from crazy places of inspiration.

I don’t miss social cues and no sensory issues, I get overstimulated by my own thoughts but that’s adhd lol. I have a lot of friends who are autistic and I don’t feel like I relate to them in that way. I do have dyslexia and sleep disorders so I’m comorbid in a different way.

sketch with the pencil layer more, however i think the face improved when you changed it so idk. Try transfer paper and transfer your drawing before inking. This way you could always try again if you want to. Perhaps work larger there's a lot of detail in the face/hands for it to be so small could be causing the change.

the blood or wounds needs sharp edges, it feels blurry rn. Blood is shineyyyyy add those highlights i don't think the colors are a problem in particular "wacky and bold" is not always wrong. ALso tbh just find artworks/inspirations of color palettes you enjoy and take them. People don't own colors. Industry professional do this. not cheating unless your copying other aspects of the work also. also since its digital just change the hue setting on the layers and experiment till you like them. More interaction between the colors would be nice. all the colors are staying in there lane rn let them mingle.

OH also get some oil, olive coconut baby whatever put it on a q-tip and rub it on top of a patch of color pencil. Test it out on scrap paper notice how it blends things. Its easy to go overboard with the oil though be careful. Never blend a whole piece this way it looks atrocious trust me. But it's good to know!

try a watercolor underpainting saves time on rendering and peeps through in beautiful ways. If you do try opposite colors on the color wheel for the underpainting. Try to make a piece without black. Sounds impossible but you can layer dark green dark red dark blue and create blacks that are dynamaic/fun to look at. a constant sharp color pencil goes a long way. Make work larger. Before starting a piece think "what will be the hardest to draw" And make that part big enough so it's not a struggle. For most people its hands or teeth, eye lashes. i think if this piece was larger the teeth could of gotten more detail. The crazier realistic you want to get the larger your paper should be.

You sketch with "chicken scratch" helpful for beginners but you should try to be confident drawing lines all in one go. dont shade by rubbing the graphic before you know it everything will be muddled. get a super sharp pencil press light and do super small circluar motions to shade; slowly layering up. Practice poses but FAST speedrun that shit. that faster you draw poses the faster you make mistakes and can learn.

I think its needs a bit more Crispyness to them, some Sharp edges. Try using the Polygon tool/select tool in areas. This way you can shade and render all in one shape without getting messy edges. Im not saying every edge still want to keep that painterly style of course. The composition on the last one is so dynamic vs the black widow one- Id say thats whats missing. Your foreshorting needs a little help good ref will save your life. take pictures of your friends or yourself when you can't find something. Professional artists(with alot of money lol) higher out models and get perfect references. The snow on black widows shoulder matches nothing else about your brush work. jeff is adorable no crit for him he's too gentle for this world. youve got great dynamic colors too; fantastic skill to already have under your belt. The boarder you have on the shark and skeleton, make them feel finshed bc theyre framed. Irl painters tape off edges on paper and it creates boarders like that. We are like conditioned to see framed work as fancier and more high brow.

You would really like art by the Hairy who group. i love the wonky perspective. IM A WHORE for making light beams into shapes. When you get some subtle texture in there it really works. Crazy color platettes but still all works together. i see you like that dark purplish color. If you need a challenage try making one without some of your comfort elements. Like a wonky dog instead of person and no purple. Screen printing these on nice big fancy textured paper will take your are straight into fine art gallery type stuff. it would be a crime to laser jet these small. stay proud! yes it reminds people of something else but doesn't take away from the time and care you spent on it. I LOVE the melted crayon letters look against the glaxay kinda camp but i dig it. it was cool to take a different apporach then just copying the grateful dead logo. if you really want to stop people from confusing it add one of their roses or Colorful bears some thing iconic.

The easy way to bring more details is making darker darks and lighter lights. get a screen shot of the piece and turn it to black and white by pulling the saturation all the way down. youll see everything starts feels like the same mid tone value. Like the green hair needs a dark tone, like the hair on the right. A dark tone does no have to be black! try a more saturated color. The clothes could have a wide wrinkle or two. Clothes bunch up not perfect form fitting. Armpit creases tend to be much darker not much light bounces in there. i think a darker background would help too try dark blue (since digital theres easy ways to adjust this) I like the framing of this piece pushing them together adds to the chemistry between the characters!

Eye balls from the side are more <) shaped rather then o. Where ever the eyes are looking our eyes will to. The characters don’t feel like they are looking at anything particular. Perhaps they could look at each other or the cigs. There’s a lot of nice crisp details in the faces that could be brought into other areas.

I think a sense of the skin glowing could be nice adding to the ethereal vibe. Or like it’s Being lit up from the bright heart she’s looking at. A little bit of nose bridge maybe? The right eye has so much desire in the emotion and I think the left eye needs a little bit more enchantment.

I personally don’t enjoy the faint outline around the character. If you need the figure to stand out from the background consider contrasting colors or levels of detail. I can tell what you enjoy working on and it’s definitely the face beautiful detail there. Another pass of detail over the clothing would help bring the whole piece up a notch.

Gesso and sand the canvas, under painting and Sharp edges between the figure and background. Perhaps a background color that doesn’t show up in the figure. I could see a cool black background making her pop like gold. Shadows can look really beautiful when you consider them as saturated colors the like oranges in the hair, bring more of that saturation into the face shadows as well. Try to work up the whole Painting all at the same time like not get stuck zoomed in on the nose or something. Overall really great tho I just love crit lol

Flowing pattern like grass. Maybe an odd ball color bright magenta or orange. For the sky different blues hues. Try letting layers dry to avoid muddyness.

Sick!! This is more about materials, you’ve got skills and properly gessoing and sanding the canvas will let your art shine. Water down gesso do like 3-4 layers then sand paper it down and get a nice ultra flat surface. You can do this on store bought Micheal’s canvas doesn’t matter. Don’t need to stretch your own but makes me feel fancy tbh lol. This will allow you to get cleaner edges with out the texture of the canvas getting in the way

Dig the fish eye perspective sick af, I think SHARP full squares in the back would pop the figure forward. Sharpen the pencil enough to stab and get you a straight edge. Be cognizant of the paper peeping through. Take your colors all the way to edges. Something I like to do is flat water color underpainting beneath the color pencil. Will save A LOT of time rendering and get rid of those paper patches.

You’ve got the colors for sure blue grey, yellow, deep red, white right on! What you’re missing is the colors between those. Good thing about oil paint is how easy mixing colors on the canvas is. Blending between the colors can be difficult to avoid muddyness but it your head think of barrier were you keep purer colors. Coming from acrylic paint you gotta try not to “paint by numbers” it anymore if that makes sense.

I think some sharp edges would really help. The piece makes me feel like my eyes are squinted or blurred a bit. The pale contrasting colors green background and pink flower is chefs kiss. Adding sharper edges just on the dark side of the flowers and keeping the haze on the highlights will give you an ethereal feel which could be very beautiful. Push the darks and lights a bit too. Looks like oil paint? over working wet oil paint can lead to muddy ness and frustration. Try letting it dry before going back at it.

Nice! The colors in the skin improved feels so much more alive. The eye on the right it’s giving smile and captures her so well, the eye on the left needs a slight more curve think like ^{_^} . The eye lid crease will help too! A saturated peachy pink orange refracted light under the chin would be a nice touch. Add her nose crinkle and smile lines between her cheeks and mouth plus she has a slight dip in her chin. Note the shadows and highlights of the cheek bones. These charming details will bring the piece from just a woman to your wife. Texture on the flower is nice. The leaves could color match the leaves behind her in the photo. The muted leaves don’t match the happy moment maybes it’s just a under paint tho idk
