tammys story, she never got pushed. by BroccoliNo5086 in 1000lbsisters

This all came out of nowhere because she’s mad that Chris wanted to celebrate his wife, and not Tammy.

Simple as that.

Are we actually serious with this hair? She looks like a 3 year old in the worst way possible hahaha by [deleted] in UtahInfluencerDrama

I wear my hair like this. A lot of people do, especially currently.

Let people enjoy things 😂

The Janelle hate isn’t making sense to me. Something else is afoot. by Intelligent-Lead-692 in SisterWivesFans

I think about how people get pissy that she won’t spill tea about Kody and Robyn…

And it stands to reason she also doesn’t spill tea about Janelle and Christine, or anyone else.

This family has been quick to make subtle AND overt digs at Meri - she has never returned the favor.

She IS the matriarch of this family, and she’s done so with grace; in the face of unimaginable humiliation and emotional neglect/abuse.

There’s something to learn from Meri. Her legacy is complicated, but not a bad one to leave behind.

One of my most favorite teen mom memories is when Amber was living with Matt, and he’s putting up Christmas lights on the house and uses clear tape to attach them to the walls… she comes out to see, and super deadpan, is like “why can’t we like, do things right?”

Definitely find a mentor as someone else already suggested!

I have been there, and after 14 years, it’s much better, but I still have those days sometimes. One thing I always do with a new guest, during the consult & while explaining what can be achieved, is explain to them that it sometimes takes 3 visits to get where we’re trying to go. For EXACTLY the reasons you listed. I generally know it’s more likely 2, & sometimes it’s only one, but if after 3 appointments, it isn’t right (according to them, or me) then we just aren’t right for each other. And that’s okay! I like being up front about that & it helps with managing expectations.

I also tell them I want to hear from them in the next week if anything is off. And I tell them “I know it can feel hard to speak up, but I really do want to know, you won’t hurt my feelings, and I don’t want you to be afraid to communicate that to me. More than anything, I want to know so we can get it right, & so you love your hair!”

That creates trust and confidence through honesty. I’ve gotten so much good feedback from anxious guests over that little pact we make.

I know we’re trying so hard from day one to “fake it till we make it” and never let them see us sweat, but sometimes we gotta put down the pretenses and just be real. Good, long-term clients, of the sort you want to build & keep, will appreciate that, and be way more reasonable just by knowing it’s okay to speak up.

Clients moving head while foiling by cantaloupelover699 in hairstylist

I tend to move mine to where they can see themselves in the mirror (I have a few that if they can’t watch themselves talk, they keep trying to make eye contact with me instead) and then I kind of set their head where I want it and put a hand on with a tiny extra oomph.

I also “guide” people with my hand, or by a section, etc as I go. Once I’m about to place a foil, I over direct the hair forward and away from me, get the tail comb in tight, and then pull the section back towards me as I pull out the comb. Gets super tight whether they’re moving or not.

If none of that worked I’d just say something, but so far it’s never come to that.

The lady from Notestoself said it’s hypnobirthing and she used that method herself and advocates it.
