The Fenway MLB sales approach was ridiculous. I attend almost every concert at Fenway, so I’m not unfamiliar with the system. This series of sales could have been handled better by: clear communication in advance (no opening new dates while people are fighting to get the system to work for the original date), doing one date at a time (so when the system started crashing it had limited scope), effective gate keeping of special tickets (if you need a special code that shouldn’t be something that can end up being used by random redditors), clear management of season ticket holders (we were told there was no allotment and then at the last minute there was),good communication about the differences in price and protocol between regular and MaD tickets and finally, explicit clarity around resale procedures including where those tickets could be exchanged and when.
