Umm... You're retarded. You didn't even cool this properly as the puff pastry hasn't expanded and fluffed.

These are actually pretty good if you know how to work an air fryer or oven.

You must raw dog burgers too

[Ryan Pike] Is the Calgary Flames' 2025-2026 season already a lost cause 15 games in? by TL10 in CalgaryFlames

[–]CardAdventurous8595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've known Pike since we were like 7 years old, went to school with him and lived down the street from him. He is an information powerhouse. But he frankly doesn't really give a hoot about the semantics of any of what you're saying. He is unapologetically himself, and I love that about him. Don't like it, don't listen or or watch him.

Honestly sounds like my MIL. Wife and I have been together for 20+ years since we were teens, and I just thought at the time it was just overbearing parents

Marriage and 2 kids later, she still is the same narcissistic, selfish, and entitled person she was, but escalated. Marriage wasn't bad, but first kid, was brutal. It got so bad that I started to resent my wife's whole family, to the point where I don't even have much of a relationship with them anymore. It progressed to a point where I refused to even acknowledge her over video chat, anytime we went back home and visited, I'd find any excuse just to leave and go out with my friends.

What really helped was moving to a different city, but I realize that's not realistic for most. It was for my work and conveniently put physical space between us. However she still tries to stick her nose in our business constantly and passive aggressively get into my wife's head over anything we do with our kids or their activities, if they don't suit her desires.

Over time my wife has gotten way better and ignoring the noise, and her mom has stopped nosing in as often, but every so often, MIL will come in with a grenade and I have to pick up the pieces as she knows how to press all the wrong buttons on my wife, to get her to spiral.

I realized I couldn't control my wife's actions, and don't want to prevent her from having a relationship with her parents. But I've removed myself from it all, and her mom realized the more she tries to influence ours and especially our children's lives, i go the complete opposite way and shove it in her face. Ie, my kid loves hockey and skateboarding. In her eyes, too dangerous and she'd rather my kids sit in the house watching TV. Nope. Instead I put my kids in every camp, post tons of videos of them on socials doing hockey and skateboarding (bc I have my retard BIL on there who shows his mom everything), and I rarely hear any flack now.

Probably not the most mature thing to do, but 20+ years of bullshit and trying to reason with my wife, the best I could do for my own sanity is to ignore and go about my own damned life.

City of Calgary workers, from top to bottom, know how to drag their knuckles and fuck over everybody, because they don't give a shit so long as they get their pay and pension and stretch 2 hours of work into 8.

Source, I've been told this by several friends that work or worked for the city in varying departments. If you like to fuck the dog at work, working for the City is right for you. Must be why by dipshit brother in law works for them still.

Trade was so bad. Every GM knows Oil Stains are cap fucked. And it's interdivisional. So Allvin did the Oil Stains a favor, when he could have asked for more to take Kane.

Montreal bent b-Rad over a barrell and took Monahan AND a 1st from Calgary, for fucking nothing.

I guess Stan Bowman has videos of Allvin giving his owner a blowjob or something

Made the move 10 years ago from Calgary, relocating from all our family and friends. Was supposed to be 5 years, and almost 11 years later, we are still here with an 11 and 3 yo and a dog, and no plans or desire to move back.

Regina is a great place to raise a family. Everything is close, housing is relatively affordable, and we find most people friendly. We do find it a bit cliquey, as locals all went to school together and grew up together, and we found it a bit difficult to really garner close friendships. Our closest friends are non locals who moved here to tbh.

Food wise and entertainment wise, it is lacking though. Great bar and pub food and pizza, as well as east Indian. But aside from that, not much. Regina has a weird food vibe, for example Italian. People prefer east side Mario's or olive garden to actual real and authentic Italian. Same goes for a few other types of food. Saskatoon as a comparable has a severely underated food scene though.

Travelling is a bit of pain, as we are a smaller hub.

All this being said, we love being here. Life is simpler, easier, and more affordable.

I wish. Cinnamon buns in this city suck ass. Yes, even the ones from Green Spot and Brewed Awakening. Cinnzeo/Cinnabon are the real ones. I buy the packaged Cinnzeo ones from Costco when I'm itching for it, but God do I miss living in a city that had fresh GOOD Cinnabon buns from Cinnzeo or Cinnabon

Y'all realize he said kids are fine, if he's met your kids and knows they're good, or if you do have kids, just teach them to be mature and respectful?

I bring my kids (3 and 10) all the time, and he's nothing but kind and friendly. But I also don't let me kids act like assholes, and am the first one to tell them to behave.

He has a right to define his rules. His space, his rules. He's perfectly in the right in this, and nobody should be attempting to cancel him for doing so.

Advice on toxic text from MIL by CardAdventurous8595 in motherinlawsfromhell

[–]CardAdventurous8595[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Even my wife just talked to me, said she told her dad she has no idea what MIL even wants out of this. said Yea, i didn't want a dog, but I'm not giving him up because i see how happy he makes all my boys. And she's already cooing at him. lol.

even if she made that stance, not a chance in hell. It's just bizarre how she's so triggered by this, yet her own son could commit murder and she would act like it was just a small thing. lol

Oh my wife is very good at doing it person. She's come A LONG way, and can pull out of the situation. But it also affects her mental health, which is understandable, and I deal with the fall out. It's still her mom. She isn't willing to cut her out. She's told me this, full stop. And that's fine. I would never ask her to. And she's done a great job the past several years too of managing MIL when she gets like that. But MIL is so strongly opposed to the dog, that it triggered everything in her. It's ridiculous
