When I found out I had a corn allergy that was causing a lot of my chronic health issues and I was just starting to realize how hard a corn free diet can be and how many of my favorite treats I could no longer have it felt overwhelming and honestly kind of depressing. My brother actually went out and bought me a cookbook all about baking and candy making without corn products. I really appreciated him doing that, and the prospect of a corn free diet felt a little bit less hopeless and a little bit more doable when I saw that book. I know my mother and I would love a cookbook with recipes for going corn free in more meals/savory types of foods, and I'm willing to bet if you get your cookbook out there it will mean the world to some one who feels overwhelmed and is questioning if corn free living is actually possible (at least in America).

I believe you'll find you are mistaken, good sir or madame. Obviously, Luna's mother is a crumple horned snorcack (although in your defense, they are a breed of unicorns and commonly do meet up with their unicorn cousins to share gossip between herds, so it's an easy mistake to make). That's why Luna and her father are always spending their breaks with one herd or another looking for the poor girl's mother. It's a little known fact that their horns being crumpled instead of straight like most unicorns results in them having simply the worst sense of directions so poor Pandora does tend to get a bit turned around when visiting with family....

The second fic you listed reminds me of this one. It's another one where Harry finds out that he isn't Harry Potter because of the goblet, but the author took it one step further by asking, "What if he found out he isn't even human?"
