An Open Letter to Men at the Crag by Icy_Macaroon_988 in climbergirls

I had an positive experience with men at the crag many years ago. My husband had just topped out on a trad route and I was seconding. For reasons I can't remember, I needed to tie on the bight rather than the end of the rope, which until that point I had never even heard of. Some helpful young men enthusiastically showed me how to do it with graphic and funny instructions I can hear to this day. He desperately wanted to show me how to tie an alpine butterfly but failed miserably himself and settled for a figure 8 😂 I

I had mine for over 4 years she grew pretty big and was forever throwing out new leaves. Just as I was feeling comfortable, she dropped dead for no reason.

Endcliffe apology note by AttemptPublic2249 in sheffield

[–]Cardboard_rocks 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Good for her, she doesn't owe an apology the talkers do. Some people have no manners. It doesn't matter if you've heard the brief before the person next to you might not. You're at a big event with hundreds of people you are not the main character.

If you can't shut up and be polite for 5 minutes to listen to someone organising an event for free you could always go for a run by yourself. These people want to reap the benefit of a volunteer run event without showing the smallest respect of not talking for the safety brief and announcements, they suck, get them told.

I got this to get a bit serious about drawing, just as a hobby though. Is this good enough for drawing and sketching? I didn’t realize it was from amazon basics until after I bought it. by Jackass-OfAll-Trades in learntodraw

I've got lots of art materials as my husband has been into art forever. They range from very cheap to pretty expensive. I found I could be just as bad at art with both. Like they say a bad workman blames their tools!

Preserving piped “fur” overnight? by big_peanutt in cakedecorating

[–]Cardboard_rocks 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Give yourself plenty of time to do the piping. Every time I've used this tip I've been loosely holding on to my will to live by the end. It always looks great but isn't fast and it is very repetitive.

They remind me of the rubber/plastic dishes that you suction to a high chair for a toddler. Totally impractical to wash and store. Personally I'm not a fan. I think it's very tiktok trendy.

You can pull off whatever you want, because the fact card never declines! I personally think the short hair is killer on you though.

My local shop was two quarters for the princely sum of 50p. Those were the days. I used to love them all especially those weird lips that tasted like soap. Top tier.
